This game surprised me with how much I enjoyed it, mainly it's because of the look of the game and it's over all aesthetic, but the hack n slash combat here isn't terrible either!

URBAN CHAOS: Riot Response for PS2 / XBOX | A Lazy Analysis / Review Of Rocksteady's First Game

What's up!? Congratulations you've found one of RUclips's most secret channels! I've hid here berried underneath the mountain of content to ramble about stupid video games and junk. Today I'm taking a look at Rocksteady's first game as a company. It's a fairly decent FPS, with endearingly antiquated aspects to it. Oh and it's enjoyably bloody! Seriously though thanks for clicking on this video....
HYLICS | An Endearingly Surreal Experience

This game is so wonderfully strange, it's like a nonchalant clay filled acid trip. Hylics was made by an awesome artist named Mason Lindroth. It's the only game I've talked about on my channel that was made by one guy, and that type of personal creation is one that I really appreciate. Give this guys work some love if you find this kinda stuff interesting!

The Onechanbara/Zombie Zone | A PS2 Budget Game That's Surprisingly Not Trash
Просмотров 3,9 тыс.4 года назад
Yeah I just finished this weirdo budget game, and it was honestly not that bad. It was a part of a series called "The Simple 2000 Series" which was basically a series that pumped out cheap games for a cheap price. I had pretty low expectations, but this game turned out to be kinda neat. #ps2 #onechanbara #simple2000

Yooooooo just throwin' up a quick video about Berserk's "Black Swordsman Arc". It took me more than a couple reads before I starting to appreciate this part of my favorite manga by the legend Kentaro Miura. I kinda feel silly for not recognizing it's quality until now, but hey better late than never I guess lol. #berserk #manga #blackswordsman

3 was the first masterpiece...
Llz make more videos i love you
THPS4 was my first so I'm probably biased, but I agree. I've tried playing the earlier titles but couldn't really get into them after starting with 4. The soundtrack imo is unmatched too and probably has a lot to do with kickstarting my lifelong love of punk rock.
The first 4 THPS games are the best for sure, I wouldn't discount the first 3, I would love to see a compilation game of 3 and 4 like they did with 1 and 2. IMO the 1 and 2 remake is the best tony hawk game to date. I was also a fan of American wasteland and underground 2.
My favorite was t.h.u.g. It was the first one that took it to the next level since two for me. You could get off your board and climb stuff?????!!!! Also first one that had Prod and the create a park was awesome
Need Day/Night cycle with certain areas accessible because guards leave at night Or a gate closes, allowing you to grind/jump to new places only at night More REALISTIC stuff in the levels.......... bigger like GTA There should be people walking their dog.............. a robber robs someone and you can beat them up (yes INCLUDE PUNCHING in thps)
This is an awful video essay Jesus christ
nah
I'm a little over halfway through this video and while I'm thinking about it it would be great to see a video comparing the last generation THPS4 to the newer generation version of THPS 4 such as PS1 versus PS2 versions
I didn't feel guilty using the slomo cheat for the trolley race and manualing the switchbacks. Those two are the hardest goals for me.
34:38 Tony Hawk 4 was def the black sheep and I can tell you why as someone who was exactly the target demo for the THPS series as a kid. I religiously played THPS 1,2,3 and 4. I wanted so badly to love THPS 4 like I loved its brothers but sadly I could not. It was leaning into a muddy hodge-podge of gameplay loops and what I would know now to call 'feature creep' when us 'traditionalists' weren't asking for any of that. NOW we can look back and say yeah they were ahead of the times and were adding innovations we didn't know we wanted yet. It wasn't until THUG that alot of these features found their footing and were introduced in a more engaging and organic way. The arcade vibe didn't suit alot of the THPS 4 features well. THUG and THUG2 were very different than THPS series but very fun all the same. It felt like the THPS games were growing up.
4 having the “cheats” like slomo and disco mode were so fun. Always loved this game, then after living in Jacksonville and getting to skate Kona for years, it’s a top 5 game Also I went to Alcatraz last year and the game level is eerily spot on 😂
"Drenched in style" this line hits hard, this game was ahead of it's time and pretty good start for platinum games, awesome review brother, keep up the good work!
I certainly agree with you. The classic 2-minute timer gets all the love and attention usually, but while I enjoyed them, I mainly grew up with those later 4 games. I had THAW, then THUG1 and THUG2, then THPS4. I really love their style more than the classic trilogy. THAW and THUG1 are straight up some of my favorite games of all-time. THUG2 is great too, I once fell off it but rediscovered my love for it in the last couple years and feel it's one of the best in the series. (I think my ranking would be THAW, THUG1, I then go back and forth on whether I like THPS4 or THUG2 more) Those will always be the games in the series I love most and the ones I go back to the most. I've seen THUG1 get more attention and love nowadays, which is nice to see. Hopefully that happens with the others as well. Post-3, Pre-Project 8 can come off rather underrated at times. THPS4 is a game I didn't enjoy highly on my first playthrough years ago, but it is a game that I've enjoyed more and more with each playthrough. I still think I enjoy those other 3 more, but THPS4 holds up exceptionally well. Difficult game and long to 100% Career Mode, but the levels are pretty great, the soundtrack is amazing, and I'd say this is the most content rich Career Mode in the series. It's a great game!
For my money, the order goes 3, 2, 1, THUG1, THAW, THUG2, then 4. Maybe switch THAW and THUG2.
Didn't the security guards used to smack you down"?
Dude I love this take. Thank you for making this. Brought me right back at 37 years old right now
Thps2 is one of the best video games ever
Hit that 3rd leg like "NOW ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE FERRY!!!"
Okay so it wasn't just me being a dumb kid, this goal was just stupid hard
This one was my fave over many of em. THUG took me a while to enjoy. But Kona was sick.... jango... sick. And the bertslide... snake run stuff was cool. AGAIN I know im late to comment this game wasnt loved back then. 3 was favored. 4 has better levels.
I actually liked the second game the best out of all of them.
I agree most people I hear talk about the series talk about the first 3 or thug 1 and 2 being the best, but 4 will always be my favourite by a long shot. Jango Fett is also my favourite character in the series and I don't know anything about Star Wars. His jetpack special move is the best of the best, when you smash it out after a small ollie and just fly through the level, nothing beats that.
For a long time I looked forward to playing this game, only because of Ryuichi Sakamoto’s excellent theme music. I thought that the game must be equally excellent, but boy was I wrong! Had to quit about half way through because of the reasons stated in the video. Gameplay wise it’s pretty garbage… disappointed! Good video though =)
Yesssss❤❤❤❤
2 and 3 and underground are better
Is that Max Payne? 5:43

any chance of making another vid?
My first Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. Without this I'd have never heard of NWA, Iron Maiden, The Sex Pistols, AC-DC, De La Soul, Run-DMC, System of a Down and Toy Dolls. This game is a major, maaaajor part of my childhood.
25:30 - That goal is tricky when you're out of practice but after you've been playing it solidly for a few days/weeks/months and learn which tricks are the best it isn't that hard to hit a 250k combo in that area. I remember a few years ago I was playing 2 player with a friend and we had to stop playing trick attack because I had been playing for months and was hitting 2-10mil+ each time while he was lucky to break 100k most of the time. When we played as kids, he would have been hitting the mil ranges non-stop too. It really is about the theory element. E.g. There are some tricks that net about 10k on their own and are quite easy to land (e.g. the 900) whereas other tricks only hit 300-1000. You have to be splicing in the golden tricks quite often. As soon as you know everything that's in your arsenal, and as long as your balance-meter management is solid, you can easily start breaking the million ranges every single time.
crazy person brain this is very good review hones
This is imo the best one, me and my family got every thps game from the first to thug 2. Thps4 was just the most fun of them all. Just the right amount of freedom.
This one usually takes me a couple of tries, but it became pretty easy over the years (I beat this game about once a year). :D
I recently just replayed THPS4 and did all the missions again and I honestly dont know why everyone has so much trouble with this one. I got it in about 4 tries. All you gotta do is make sure youre holding down ollie when you get into the manual so you dont loose speed, stay on the opposite sides so you can take wide turns, and just before you turn, aim the manual meter up a bit so you can use right + down and left + down to make sharp turns and everyone should be able to get it
When hitting the corners you might have to hold left or right while also rocking the dpad up or down, if anyone is playing with the analogue stick, may God rest your soul
Spent countless hours playing THPS games. Loved everyone up until THUG1,then I went downhill imo.
Just brought this for my 35 mid life crisis birthday got the motorbike running sweet got the bean bags ready to pick up this should b delivered the day b4 gna take a sweet ride on the bike then lax out in my nean bag jam some thps4 and state of emergency then watch some rocket power weekenders and aaaggghhh real monsters cant wait
Thug 2 sorry.
I played and loved THPS2 as a teen, but I just couldn't get into this one after I had bought it. I think the controls put me off, but I should try it out again if everyone praises it this much. I don't know what exactly the issue was.
Nah, 3 was the real deal.
I didn’t like the fact that you had a timer
i also used flatland tricks for combos since i didnt know revert to manual was a thing until THUG2
The friggin music composer of Suikoden 1 and 2 came out of retirement and worked a bit in this. Pretty cool
I spent SO MANY hours playing online with people doing glitches. This and thug.
dayum i felt the same playing this gem🙌
How did you go so slow? I had to switch to pogo around the corners, because manual was way too fast.
dont hold x
I think it looks great I just came across this at the retro store.
Hardest goal for me was the pro goal in alcatraz, the one with the water tower. Took me about 100 million tries. Just completed it last week actually after 20 years of continuous tries.
every time i see gameplay or hear the music from THPS, im instantly transported back to 6th grade lol...
34:44 yikes
that tre flip was alright, my man
