I moved to CT last year from Florida for the same reason, moving in with partner. I felt alll the same emotions😢 You are not alone whatsoever in these feelings. i'm glad that you've shared your struggles being away from family. my fiancé and i got engaged in November and we're about to move to a new state in 2 months or so and I'll be roughly 7 hours from my entire family which I know will be hard but you seem to have got it down so far, it's comforting 🤍

My husband joined the military right after we got married and moving away from my family has been the hardest thing to deal with. I’m blessed to be a stay at home mom now so when we go visit my family I’ll stay for multiple weeks at a time. But I’m definitely counting down the days till we can move back home to be near my family. I definitely understand how you feel living in a new space and all the new adjustments.

I know you never had dogs at home or cats but what helped me with adjusting to a move was getting a cat. My boyfriend isn’t gone too much but having an animal and something to always come home to brightened my days x100

dealing with family with memory loss is so hard especially when it’s someone who was such an important part of your childhood! my grandmother had dementia and it was so heartbreaking but those moments where she was able to remember were so so special 💖

advice for you about dinners, we love making bowls too we went for weeks eating only taco bowls and we got sick of them but if you wanted to try other bowls you can try mediterranean bowls, shrimp bowls, bbq chicken bowls but taco bowls are infact superior
