Full of life and movement all 6 of them, Abigale has a magnificent voice with an operatic edge ,commands the stage in a Freddie Mercury/axel rose style ,complimented by the other five equally talented girls . Inventive original songs ,they really are the full package.
Hard to get tickets here in the uk for their up coming shows in the uk,except at inflated prices, and not even then . They are brilliant, a fab combo of originality, fab singers and good looks .
Sign up for their email list if you haven’t already as they send out info for presale. They also update if additional tickets, upgraded venue or additional dates are being added.
You are so fortunate to see them this close up and still didn't appreciate that this band was gonna be huge. Quality is wasted in the Usa.
Maybe I’m not understanding what you’re saying. I’m definitely not the sharpest spoon in the drawer👹 Care to clarify why you think this about me?
I don't know who you are ,5j0@@sah-winmy comments on here are regarding the group and American people in general.
'On your side' into 'where is my mind' was incredible 😮 i would love to hear the Dire Straits cover, could you please upload the video again on a platform that wont censor
@@TunaNSweetcorn Yeah, the WIMM version was really cool. They only did it a few times at some other shows back then so I feel like we were rather fortunate that night. The band used playback of the actual Money For Nothing as their outro music. I uploaded just that part for another attendee of this show here: ruclips.net/video/xT9Ssiffy1g/видео.htmlsi=WBlDdYRwACMi9YSn
You can hear people talking through their set, bad manners Philadelphia 😢
Yeah, Philly crowds can be a wee bit rough sometimes. Especially those Flyers* fans👹 *but when they gave Mario Lemieux a standing ovation after he returned from his cancer battle, they showed they can be one of the classiest crowds around🖤
they have two of the best drummers drumming for them...incredible drummers rebeckah and the argentine girl whose name i forget without looking it up
That would be Dai: youtube.com/@daianaazar?si=M8QKfGikCjCuChKE And yeah, she is a bad ass too!
Good drummer she is.
They have excellent chemistry and what a band.
Great drumming from Dai here.
thanks a million
Thank´s for sharing this!!!
ive seen in some comment people saying they remind them of so and so-this and that etc.....they are better than all those people put together....ive a feeling we will only get a few albums and they will dissappear..which happens to some really greats....I HOPE NOT, i love this band..discovered them 2 days ago
I agree! (mostly👹) They're definitely already better than most of them and I feel like they can meet and/or surpass some of those legendary artists they have been compared to. I've lost track of the number of different artists/bands that I've seen people mention. It's easily over 20 at this point! Yes, there are clearly a ton of different influences in there. People are going to have to start accepting that they've created their own sound! PTE is one of the best debut records of all time and, really, the "debut" part of that sentence could probably be taken out. For me, it's easily one of my personal GOATs. History has shown us that unfortunately, the lifespan of most bands is not very long. At least with the original (and almost always superior) lineup. Obviously, I'm hoping this band stays together for quite a long time! One of the reasons I've been to 4 of their shows so far is because I'm terrified of this happening with them. I've tried getting to more, but, like most people, I don't exactly have a big bank account. I bought a lottery ticket last night hoping to win just so I could fly to Australia and catch each of those shows. Surprisingly, I did not win so it looks like I won't be going👹
@@sah-win they are coming to my city in july -glasgow..i hope they go on and on with the same line up..but morrisey is great and he changes his, not that they can be compared. you sound like a real fan...good luck
@@sah-win I think this is deffo one of my fav live gigs..its so well done and thanks once again...im so into this band and i think this was the first thing i saw from them..thank you
@@TheBobbymcd You’re more than welcome, I’m truly glad you enjoy it! The band had the same effect on me. I saw Lou Smith’s XOYO show and have hooked ever since.
@@sah-win still getting negative comments from people. Someone says woke and shite which they are not.
Thanks for posting, will be checking them out when they come back to town, hopefully somewhere with a slightly bigger stage lol
You're welcome! And yeah, a bigger stage would definitely be welcomed👹
Interesting how much better her performance is visually when wearing a period dress - first time I've seen her performing in contemporary clothing. It doesn't work as well.
Are you referring to Abi? I can see how a long, flowing dress can be more stimulating for some as it can create the illusion of more movement. Look at Steven Tyler’s mic stand. Although, Steven did that for different “stimulating” reasons.👹 🪽🏹🖤
@@sah-win Yes I am, it embellishes the movement. That other fantastic performer, Freddie, always had a costume. In fact every singer should study him and I suspect she has...
Maybe she thought the Americans wouldn't ' get' the period dress thing, they are none too bright.
Maybe has some training in dance and movement and a lot of natural instinct allied to THAT voice .Wow , the sky is not the limit for them.
Sorry about your dog. I was at Webster Hall and Brooklyn Steel. I've got the Webster show complete if you want to see it.
Thank you🐶 And thanks for the Webster Hall show! I was relieved to see that you were able to get it. I watched it a few days ago and it’s grand!
Absolutely the best band at the moment- brilliant performers of brilliant songs.
So sorry to hear about your dog. It’s the saddest experience imaginable. Thanks for the 3 songs you managed to record. Much appreciated.
Thank you for those kind words! She was amazing🐶 If you haven’t already seen, Tunes Chino’s channel has the full show.
@@sah-win sorry about your dog..my friend lost her dog and she is devastated ..it was a greyhound rescue,0nly 3 and a half yrs old...here is her chanell, she is lovely ..it wont let me paste but just search miss nancys day off
Another amazing show. Thank sahwin 👍🏼
Beautoful! Love this
Did you get to see the two NY shows as you planned? How did it compare to the two Autumn shows.? The venues weren't as intimate but I'm guessing there was also a different type of audience too.
Yeah, I made it to both, but barely. I had a horrible Monday night and almost didn’t go. I got some vid from each that I’m trying to put up, but the one keeps getting flagged. And I didn’t get the full set from the first show unfortunately. The band was great! The drummer for both shows was Dai Azar and she is fierce & thunderous; a real “heavy hitter”! I love watching drummers and she was fantastic. A few kinks here & there, but that’s expected considering I think she just started playing with them. That also could be why the band played slightly shorter sets each night? We got Second Best & Godzilla at the first show. They did Big Dog at the second. The audience was very enthusiastic. Lots of dressing up & singing! You can tell the fandom is getting much more dedicated. Those shows last Oct & Nov seem to have more people there to “see what the buzz was about”. These two shows were filled with full on fans.
So glad you were well enough to go in he end. Would have been a massive bummer to miss out. Seeing them in October in Liverpool. Can't wait. Looking forward to seeing your videos if you manage to upload them. Presume you had a decent spot then. Yeah I really like the drummer too. She's a very talented lady. In addition to being a multi instrumentalist and music writer, she produces too. There's a RUclips clip (think it's the NY gig) of Abigail applauding her at the end of Godzilla. There's also a really cool RUclips video of your favourite, Burn Alive, I think from the Boston gig. It was uploaded by her drumstick sponsors. Just search Daiana Azar TLDP and you should find it. Yeah it looks like their music is starting to find it's intended target. Actually made up for the band, you can see they're having an absolute ball. @@sah-win
@@alanadams7071 Liverpool in October! Nice, I'm really happy for you! It will be wonderful I'm sure. The 1st show is loading, but YT keeps blocking Nothing Matters from the Brooklyn show for some reason. That first show at Webster Hall, I only recorded the opening 3 songs unfortunately, as I was having a really bad day and just couldn't continue filming. Both of my recordings are kind of a mess actually; bad audio & video on the first show and bad video on the 2nd. Plus, I might have to cut out NM from that 2nd show as so far, that's the only way I've been able to get it accepted. I'm trying again now. If it still gets blocked I'm going to try appealing it. There's fan recordings of that song all over YT and I can't understand why YT is blocking it on mine. I started watching some of Dai's vids when we got back from NY as she was very impressive. I haven't seen that Burn Alive yet, but I'll definitely check it out tomorrow. And, yeah, the Godzilla clip was from the first NY show at Webster Hall. I'm really glad someone got it as it was incredible!
They've just released one of MLOM from the same show too. There's a guy who posts under the name Tunes Chino and has posted all 3 NY shows. You''ve most likely come across them. if you go onto his homepage he has 2 excellent Playlists. One of TLDP covers and one of TLDP interviews, some of which have really good acoustic sessions. Check them out; there might be some stuff you haven't seen yet including a recent cover of Sparks and A lizzie inspired version of a 60s song, Up North@@sah-win
@@alanadams7071 I’m so glad he got them recorded. Especially that 1st one since I only did a partial. I just took a quick look to save to my Watch Later and somehow we were in almost the same exact spot for both shows. Funny how that happened. I don’t think I’ve seen that Lizzie 60s one yet so I’ll definitely check that out. Do you have a link to MLOM as I didn’t see that when I searched?
Thanks for recording this. It’s great to see a full set
When you get multiple age groups at your gig, you know you have something special .....
Superbness❤
They're like Wet Leg in being girl-centric and in having good material. But totally unlike them in having a super-professional sound, songs, and image. WL's appeal is that they're like The Band Next Door, if The Band Next Door were cute, funny, and very British. You could imagine lending Wet Leg's drummer a wrench set to fix their hunk-a-junk van, then having them invite you over to hear a shambolic rehearsal at which half the band had smoked way too much pot. That is much harder to imagine for Last Dinner Party, who are more like some good mid-level Seventies act who stepped through a time machine.
This shit if fucking REAL!!
Yes. Yes it is!
Super-Great! Also on Halloween :)
Cool video and great performance by TLDP! The first time I saw them (or even heard of them) was when they played support to Florence & The Machine at Musgrave Park, Cork on 26 June 2023 and it's amazing to see just how much they've progressed and improved in the short period since then. I hope they have a long future ahead of them.
We like this judge but US voters can abolish the SEC, IRS, Federal Reserve by voting Libertarian Lars Mapstead for President representing 52 year old Libertarian Party like Argentina voted for. .
Yay - economic, geo-political, environmental and societal suicide -bring it on 🤡
You're lost in more ways than one.
I am continental european . I am a catholic. those nuns are divine and develihsh GOOD at the same time. KNEEL !!!!!
why are they always old white creeps in the front.
did you happen to film more of the end? georgia gave me her set list at the end of the show and i was wondering if you perhaps caught more of the end then what was uploaded here? nonetheless thank you for capturing this awesome concert!
Yeah, I'm pretty sure I have that as I know I had to cut off the end pretty quickly once their outro music started playing due to copyright issues. I've been having some "technical difficulties" lately. Once I figure that out, I'll see if I can add that part for you.
@@sah-winawesome!! i’ll even take it without the sound if that’s easier🤷🏼♀️
@@emmavolle5975 I think I have up. I don't understand it, but for some reason it didn't flag for copyright as a short clip. This should be a link to it: ruclips.net/video/xT9Ssiffy1g/видео.htmlsi=Je3KwOY0Lmt5VZ7K Let me know if that doesn't work and I'll try to fix it.
@@sah-winit worked! thank you so much!!
I should have added, the link below is to an audio of their cover of Sinead O'connor's Mandinka. It's really rather good.
I loved hearing this! Apple Music has the audio & video for it, but unfortunately, the video part is not available in the US. Hopefully we'll get it soon.
@@sah-win Did you see they've just won The Brits Rising Star award. The Brits are a big thing over here. The equivalent of your Emmy's
@@alanadams7071 Yes! I just saw it on their YT channel. Admittedly, I don’t know much about The Brits. I looked up an article and it is very impressive. Especially when looking at the list of previous winners & nominees. And, just in case you hadn’t seen, Sir Elton John (!!!) had them on his Rocket Hour podcast a few days ago. (I’d post a link, but they always get deleted by the mods.) I’m still in awe of that. Elton John!
@sah-win I've seen it on the Facebook group The Last Dinner Partiers. Not much gets past them. That's where I got the Mandinka link.
@@alanadams7071 I don’t always like the names fans have, but that one’s not too shabby.
They sound a lot like Kate Bush so let’s see if America will embrace them. I also hear some Darkness, Queen, and Led Zeppelin.
Yes, it's all in there, along with many other bands/artists!
Justin Hawkins of The Darkness gave them a very positive review on his podcast. The return of the guitar solo!
Justin's channel, "Justin Hawkins Rides Again www.youtube.com/@JustinHawkinsRidesAgain ", is the best thing on RUclips!
To me, it sounds like Kate Bush singing David Bowie songs. Which isn't a bad thing at all.
love it or hate it but there's def some Swedish Pop in there. Some of the songwriting, specifically Feminie Urge, has some serious ninja skills in the songwriting sense. Max Martin anyone?

Go Emily!!!!! Another brilliant and entertaining gig. Thanks for uploading! Abigail surely has a future career ahead of her as a panellist on Never Mind the Buzzcocks! I just got my ticket for the Liverpool Q&A at Jacaranda on 10 December so will upload highlights to my channel if I can. 😀
Congrats on securing those tickets. I'm sinfully jealous of yous over there! I'll be watching your channel in the hopes you'll be able to capture it.
Sadly, it was just a quick meet & greet but the band were all super-friendly! They confirmed that the walk-on music is Prelude to Ecstasy and that another UK tour next year is currently being finalised. I suggested a warm-up gig in Cornwall (as Alan says no-one ever plays there). Abigail & Georgia liked this idea, so you never know! St. Ives is lovely!
@@LiveInConcertUK Pretty cool, thanks for the recap!
Great vantage point!!! Especially valuable for: 23:23 Sinner 46:58 My Lady Of Mercy The long-shot really captures how the performances are combined - each player given their own moment to shine - to achieve a show of blazing theatricality! Thanks for recording and uploading this important and memorable gig!
Thank you! And yeah, the long-shot views were both a preference for that exact reason you mention and also a necessity as I didn't want to be so involved with the filming as to miss the immersive experience. They truly are a phenomenal live band and I wanted to take it all in!
The irony of them is they specialize in a form of Britpop that America roundly ignored 30 years ago. But, you know, you've always spent a lot of time catching up. We will let you know when you've got there.
Brit pop my-Arse...🇬🇧
Ironic that your use of irony is no better than a 30 year old pop song. Don’t ya think?
We didn't ignore it the first time, though - 50 years ago.
This is Johnny Brenda's...a dive bar, so relax and sit down
I mean, from a British perspective it's the 1990s America ignored. And I suspect it will continue to ignore it. It's not important in the same way that selling to your own nation isn't.
This show was fantastic and so much fun!
What a great gig!
Thanks for posting.
need to seeeee them
Wow, that's a tiny stage! But you're almost close enough to touch them. Thanks for another great upload! I've seen all five American concerts now!
Very nice! And yeah, this place was very "cozy", haha! Similar set up as 9:30 & The Atlantis, but much smaller. And the sound system was a little "challenging".
Did you see L.A. and Chicago in person? Or if on vid, somewhere on YT? Was at the NY show, and thanks to sahwin for D.C. and Philly. Want to see the other two!
@@HermanChinNY no, just online, and only bits of LA so far.
@@sah-win Ha ha, "challenging" is the kindest way to put it!
I've been looking for the full shows of LA or Chicago too. I've only seen a few songs and/or clips of songs so far. Hopefully someone captured them and will upload soon!
Awesome, thanks so much for recording and sharing! But weird question, because now I'm obsessed: where were you?! We were standing at the rail on the balcony in almost the exact same spot! Older couple just to the right of you? Awesome that you recorded the Philly show, too!
Yeah, we may have been right next to each other! I think I remember there being couples on both sides of us. We were at the rail also. That's what helped me film without having to hold the camera in my sight line. I used the rail to support my hands so I could mostly focus on the show.
@@sah-win My phone died halfway through their show, and I was so bummed! I guess there are no DMs on YT, so without saying too much on an open forum, mid-thirties guy, or mid-twenties girl? But only if you're comfortable answering!
@@RagingZen0906 Damn, that is a bummer! I'm a little older, which is probably part of the reason why I am slightly uncomfortable with saying anything more, haha! Part of me is a little jealous that the "younger" generations are so free and open with their lives.
@sah-win No problem, we're in our fifties, so no shame! I saw everyone from tweens to a guy in his seventies, so THLD is for everyone! The only other concert I've ever seen such a wide age-range of fans is Muse and look how they're doing! I'm pretty sure you were standing right next to us on our left!
And now Philly! Wow, thanks!
No problem! I was happy (&lucky) to be able do it.
your effort is much appreciated. Thanks!
My pleasure!
Many thanks for this! Saw them in NY and it was awesome!
No problem! Glad to hear NY was great. I almost made it to that one also, but life stuff made it not possible.
@tuneschino7437 If you'd like, would you want to post a link to your NY show on here and on the Philly one?
