Shear Pin Replacement Ariens Snowblower
This video shows how to replace a broken auger shear pin on an Ariens Platinum 30 SHO two-stage snow thrower. ONLY use actual trusted shear bolts. My local hardware store (Ariens dealer) had them for a couple of bucks, so I picked up two. I don't even know when I broke this one since it kept functioning fairly well against 6" of snow with only one half of the auger rotating. You can do this yourself if you are minimally handy and have two 1/2" wrenches! For safety, before doing this you should probably take out the spark plug or something... idk lol

Snow Thrower Broken Shear Pin
Просмотров 222 часа назад
This is an Ariens Platinum 30 SHO two stage snow blower. Half of the blade wasn't spinning. It has a broken shear pin. I was recording to make a different video and didn't even realize until I reviewed the footage. Still cleared my driveway.
How to Unload a Glock

If you encounter a pistol, how do you make sure it is unloaded? This video is intended for anyone who encounters a Glock handgun and needs to render it safe or inoperable. I cover how to remove the magazine, eject a chambered round, lock the slide back, inspect the chamber, and even remove the barrel. This video is purely to promote firearm safety. If you find a gun and feel unsafe, immediately...

Also beautiful, and perfect
Bro went from 1 vid every 3 years to 1 a month.
I know I’m all over the place with my content, sorry and thanks to my loyal subscribers who have been here all along.
I’m too cooped up in the winter. lol
Beautiful, absolutely stunning
Thank you! 🎷
Mine is Glock 26 4th gen. Very pocketable
I have fairly big hands and own all sizes of Glocks. The 26 is definitely my favorite.
Appreciate this video!!
Thanks man!
Good tips
Thank you!

The Ruger 10/22 is a great platform But I was always curious why Ruger didn’t bring out something in larger center fire caliber other than the 44. Mag.and the 223 in there model 14 currently only Browning and Benelli is manufacturing a large caliber center fire capable of taking large game with Remington done there a niche Ruger could use!
I just did the exact same thing for more or less the exact same reason. I've got a cheap Amazon soprano, and while it has worked well enough for me for a couple years, as I'm starting to try to play to backing tracks and multi-track recordings, I just couldn't get the intonation quite right. Was wondering if it was me or the horn, so I tried Sweetwater after also not being able to find anything local. Showed up in pristine new condition and my problems instantly went away. In my state I get it for 2 months for $25 and $45/month after (I opted for the insurance), and I think I'm gonna keep renting it for a while until it makes sense to buy it out. Been having a blast with it, I've played it so much in the last week and a half that my lips are splitting.
Awesome man! Yeah I was playing my silver one and having fun but thinking “this is hard to play”. Went into a closet with a flashlight and saw leaks everywhere. The playability and tone of this Yamaha is great. Have you asked what the buyout price would be? I’m curious how it would compare to their new list price. Also my lips are sore as I type this hahaha.
@@BurntOnBothEnds give it a few days and it should update and start showing the buyout amount, I think it was about $3500 to start with, which is a little more than the value of the included mouthpiece and what they sell one for, but I figure I'm going to rent for a couple years first (music isn't my day job so hard to justify dropping that right away) so it evens out. My Amazon one wasn't too bad if I left it a little flat and just played by itself, but once tuned up to standard pitch, it becomes almost impossible to keep in tune with itself. The YSS feels like cheating in comparison, it's so much easier to play.
After laying off playing saxophone for 22 years, I decided to take it up again in retirement back in 2016. I've been playing in a community concert band that performs primarily at retirement homes. We have a spring concert season from April through June and a Christmas concert season in November and December. The music is high school level difficulty. I highly recommend finding a group to play in, it's a lot of fun, you make new friends and improve your playing skills along the way.
That sounds fantastic. I’d love to find a way to play with others once I have some skill back. It’s been 19 years for me, strumming a few stringed instruments in the meantime. Thanks for sharing your experience. I’ll have to look for opportunities in my area.
That looked like used oil you refilled it with! Horribly dark and dirty looking. Maybe that's just how RP looks like, I never use the stuff.
Yeah I stopped using this oil, it’s weird. Seemed like a cool idea at the time. lol
2020 Impreza Sport has different lights. 😢
Noooo sorry. 😢
Mine won’t open all the way it’s like it’s getting stuck how do I fix this?
So the lever moves and it only partially opens? Was it definitely reassembled properly last time it was disassembled?
Love the trig!
I put the same kit on my 2022 Road King. It sucks. I may send it back. That's why I got it on Amazon. Free returns.
Nice. Mine scratched up immediately. I sold mine cheap to someone who knew my thoughts about it.
Thanks for the helpful guide! Hopefully you were able to grab your wrench!
RIP wrench 🔧🪦
How are you connecting the speaker to the radio? Just a 3.5 jack?
Yes I spliced some speaker wire with an 1/8” jack but it’s not pretty.
Thank you Subaru for not making your oil filters stupid and RETARRRRRDED like Toyota is now doing with their vehicles.
Thank you. Your video was the only one that detailed the factory hitch install on an outback. Good detail on using the template to trim the lower valance. It would take next to no effort for Subaru to mold in the cut lines. Sorry about your one scratch.
Cool video! You should make more videos of that Platinum 30 in action! I have the Platinum 24 SHO 369cc and it’s a beast! I can just imagine the Platinum 30 being even more beastly!
Thanks! I’ll have to take more videos next storm. Yeah this is a great machine. Thanks for watching.
i was so confused today and i literally did this. thank you for confirming this
I need to turn it into semi-auto somehow so I don’t have to reload each time. How does that work?
This is a semi-automatic firearm with a magazine capacity of 10 rounds.
@@BurntOnBothEndsI figured it out, I have to replace the little part that discards the round after firing. I thought there was a function that could switch between the two.
Thanks for help, I did not understand how to remove the cover but I did not see the one in the middle. So it was helpfull
👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I find this gun jams too much
I don’t own a Subaru, but nice video!!
There are pliers (Harbor Freight sells one) that pop those plastic rivet clips right out without the mess of prying up from all angles with a screwdriver. It grabs the pin part of the clip on two sides and once it's about 1/8" out, the clip falls right out.
Yeah, I'll be doing that.
Recently buy a 2018 CBR650F as a first bike and soon its time to do some maintenance. And very happy I found your channel/playlist. Question about the heated grips, how much do they help? How are they to use off in the summer compared to normal grips? I live in Sweden where the summers are not he longest and wonder if heated grips would be a worthy investment? (Asking 10 years later so understand if you might not see this :D )
I would definitely get the heated grips. They will only keep the parts of your hands that are in direct contact with the grips warm, but it’s very nice to have. They are quite strong even through leather gloves. In the summer they function the same as normal grips. Enjoy the bike!
@@BurntOnBothEnds Ah oke, glad to hear. Thanks for the tips and help!
Hey buddy.. you absolutely 100% killed it as far as simple tutorials go. This is exactly what people need for this specific job. No bullshit, no droning on about dumb shit, just straight forward “do this, then this” instructions. Thank you dude. Thank god for people like you.
Always fill the oil filter before installing, if the oil runs out, when you invert the filter, you got the wrong filter from a Subaru, any model.
Also, there's an ejector on the magazines.
On my Ruger, if I lock back the charging handle, it's hard to release. Do I need to put a mag in first or does it not make a difference?
Thank you for the video. Mine didn't come with instructions, had to download the PDF file. My 2013 Crosstrek came with a net. My 2024 Outback Onyx Edition didn't come with a net or the upper attachment points 😢
why is your new oil so dark? did u accidentally use old oil?
Read the description.
I have never seen "clean oil" look so dark. Other than that, it looks fairly informative
Read. The. Description.
Thank you for the video, but you missed a step in installation; the child restraint trims are supposed to sit over the mat.
Remove the battery, take your reciprocating saw with a carbide blade and cut a hole right behind to white bulb cap. 3 inches by 3 inches, the support you cut does nothing. You can now take that damn cap and put it back on by merely removing the battery. Yes it works!
My 25 blinds people also...I will do this soon! Thanks!
Thanks. Very helpful.
You should update your title because your directions are not accurate for 24/25 and probably later outbacks.
Excellent, no fluff, video on the process. QUESTION: How in the world were you able to get to the drain plug without the use of ramps??
Never back up a chain driven motor on the crank pulley 👍🏽
Man o man I’m a Detroiter , ive had my eye on a 1997 Ram cargo van running good rusty , very cheap , i have heard about this problem, and known of one or two going thru trouble of getting the front ends redone, re welded , repainted/ coated. Was told It was quite involved and now I’ve seen just how extensive the problem can be in depth from your video just now. thanx,
Thank you for the detailed example/demonstration of the installation!! I’m shopping for a new or slightly used Outback and noticed that most lack a trailer hitch, so it was good to see a proper method!! Also, I didn’t notice the birds singing until around the 11:00 minute mark, they add a peaceful background!
I know this is a while ago, but it is unclear to me why the cutout extension on the fascia to the right of the hitch. You already tied the wires to the bumper brace.
Great video, very straight forward. These lights look great!
Yeah mine are 4 years old and just got covered in HIV + blood during a trauma activation. I now have to be on PEP and I'm not even going to bother taking these apart
