Why don’t you use a sump?
@@Mello2500 Hey 👋 first off thanks for watching. I guess I could’ve, this just all started as a little experiment with a 50 gallon setup in my bedroom with a fluval 407, junk lights etc…. Some sale around Christmas lead me to this 125 gallon setup. I’m not so sure it could even be drilled and the stand isn’t that sump friendly(space). Hindsight a sump setup may have been a little easier to maintain and a little more aesthetically pleasing, but this has been working surprisingly well!
Главное есть в доме кот!!😂❤
Love you and like you and rv and wheels and videos too
Hey does the fx6 work good for this setup? Have the same exact tank and want to do almost the same setup but don’t want to go to small with the fx4. Your tank looks awesome!
Thank you! The FX6 works great, if you can swing it I would recommend 2 that way when you inevitably have to clean it out you still have another filter running with all the beneficial bacteria in it and undisturbed. Clean them/change or add material in a rotation. Works great.
Great demo, thanks! 👍Question: did this version of the filter come with the improved pre-filter pipe, or did you have to customise it?
@@chrisso1973 It did, the holes seem bigger than some previous reviews had shown. The flow isn’t as strong as my FX6 but I think it serves its purpose as a standalone heater and added mechanical/biological filter. You can get pretty creative with these.
Have seen a lot of bad reviews on that stand it is made of particle board. Would rather have a completely wooden or metal stand as if any water gets on that it will be bas
@@darkmagician2346 check out my first video on it! Completely reinforced corners-a towel or 2 under the filters and the fix is in! But if you’re not a DIY person I totally understand that too.
Very nice tank. I have a a 40 gallon reef tank I've been running over 3 years now. Getting past the first year is the hard part IMO. One thing I wished I would have did from the beginning in my experience, is to run a higher magnesium once your corals start growing. Around 1350-1500 ppm. YOur LPS corals will tend to look better with it, and it prevents your calcium and alkalinity from "fighting" with each other (one causing the other to precipitate). Just makes things easier, just like running a protien skimmer.
@@jeff-ds2pr that’s about where I run my mag. What kind of salt mix are you using and what do you prefer to dose?
@@bshaut I just use Reef Crystals. I dose with Brightwell Mg to get the numbers up.
Where is the sensor for Tunze ATO placed?
It is a little hard to see in the video, but it is mounted high on the back glass between the skimmer intake and the Oase filter intake.
I am glad to see everything is going great on your tank with no magor issues.
@@tmanning4usa thank you! Coming right along. Do you have a saltwater tank as well?
Nice how is the aquarium holding up i was thinking about getting one
still holding up well, thinking about a 6 month update soon. No issues to speak of with either the tank or the stand.
@bshaut thanks I also like your filter setup
Great video Bro! Thanks! This is practical information people need.
Glad you liked it!

Beautiful!
Mopar or no car!❤
Akways reminds me of the wraith from the 1980s with the 2 weirdos in the cuda , i dont think it had a hemi nut it had some nice cragar rims.

Bad fishie!!!
Ohh!
Stunning
Ale gada 🥸🙋
These cars were under-acheivers according to car magazine tests and evaluations of the day compared to the 340 Formula S Barracudas, reason being they installed a very mundane and tame 440 in them, and gave them no power steering (no room!), no front disc brakes, so they were very hard to steer and handled poorly and really didn't have a lot of power compared to other 440 muscle from Ma Mopar, HOWEVER!, what could be a better starting point for an insane big block Barracuda than this car?!!! I don't care what it lacked in off the floor performance, I would tune all those quirks right out of it and then go Camaro and Mustang hunting!!
Lol yeah we’ve got power steering, discs up front, a mild roller cam, forged and honed pistons/heads, performer RPM intake and a 750cfm Holley double pumper that all runs back to 4.10 gears with an Eaton truetrac LSD- it’s definitely a show AND go car now. It was originally a slant 6 but most things other than the 8 3/4” rear housing have been upgraded. It hunts 😆 and eats
🤩👍
Sick as f🤘
😍🤤😍🤤
BADFISH is dope asf
Beat me to it. ❤
I bet it has an ls in it
I’d probably bet that it has a 440 with a newer roller cam and forged pistons matched to a torqueflite 727 3 speed transmission that runs back to a shortened mini tubbed rear end and 4.10 gears- all straight from Mother Mopar herself 😆 Ya know, if I were a betting man.
Sweet ride
I'm not even a Mopar guy, but goddamn 😮

That Borbonius 👀 damn! $$$
Nice setup
Thank you!
looking good, i like your lighting setup
Thanks!
I reccomend a new stand because the ones sold with the tank are very unreliable and get damaged when wet
Y’all doing some wet and wild water changes!? 😆 but yes, towels are your friend with this stand.
@@bshaut i own big fish as my iridescent shark is about the size of my palm hes soon moving to a new tank yes he does splash water but the stand is unstable if i gets bumped by a child or large dog
@@memebean9257reinforcements are key here, we have 1x3’s on all corners and some 90 degree steel brackets underneath for any lateral movement I forgot to include them in my 1 take video but they are in the center storage area.. For 600$ I would probably buy it again, will that change in the future? Stay tuna’d!!! Thanks for watching and be sure to like and subscribe
@@memebean9257and my cat just loves it!!! 😆 ruclips.net/user/shortsIj1K2ktPbMw?si=WZ-Tpf-vFrW98dPZ
I have the same tank, with 20$ worth of wood, nails, & paint . It will be sturdy for years to come.
Cannisters are just confotable for a little space in the living room but all of them that I had get clogged within 15 days and are not functional until you clean them making the hobby a tedious task. Sumps are the best!!!
Thanks for watching! Yes, some of the old canisters can be a nightmare, especially if you aren’t skimming, but the Oase biomaster 850 and the FX6 have definitely came a long way! If you can clog an FX6 in 2 weeks color me impressed 😆 My last tank was all canister so the old way of thinking is most definitely changing! I think you have inspired my next video though. The 3 minute prefilter clean out, I do it about once every 2 weeks.
@@bshaut I also bought ab Oase and the prefilter did not help much to keep flow though! This is my humble opinion.
I appreciate you adding your experience, the flow is definitely less than the fx6 it’s more comparable to the 407 but it has more available biomedia space that is pretty good for the lower flow! The MP40’s definitely handle any remaining flow problems 😆 you’ll have to share your setup!!!
