@onlyagreeingsometimes Yes, sold out on both. I hope they're fixing things too. But, if they are fixing the Gen 2, that'll be a little annoying as I'm sure they won't offer anything for the early adopters. I just picked up a Pixoo 64 and will have a review on that soon!

@brandonontech It will all depend on the upgrades. Also, if you do a review, can you do one on the apps that run these devices. Also, it would be good to know if they have the Shopify counter, etc. Just having shopify in your video might do it some good

@brandonontech also I heard people use Procreate to make artwork for them. But it would be interesting if there will be a market for people to buy artwork and apps for them from ordinary people using the platforms app 🤔

@TipitoOk I'll work on that review video! Unfortunately, I don't have the older version to compare. I do have a Supernote and I feel they look the same. If I look closely at the new Scribe, I can see pixelation on some of the writing. Same thing on the Supernote.

@WINDSHEAR-STUDIO Thanks for watching and the comment! With the knobs on the Plus, if you're going to use apps and control volume and sliders, I think the knobs are perfect. For me, the XL is a better fit because I find myself using buttons more to trigger actions. But, I am using a "volume" type adjustment now on my XL where I have two buttons on top of each other for volume. Top button increases volume and bottom decreases. I don't think I'm using apps like Photoshop or Final Cut Pro enough to make use of multi-layer knob programming. But Black Friday is around the corner and I wouldn't pass up a Plus if it was at a good price. I don't know if it would replace my XL though. The price of plugins is a little crazy I agree. I have another video here where I talk about programming your Stream Deck. If you have the time, you can build your own plugins.

@13olivier Thanks for watching! Hmm...I would think you might be able to create something like this using an Apple Shortcut. If you can make a shortcut that will pull that data from the website, you can assign that to a button on the Stream Deck using the Launch Shortcut app available for Stream Deck. I think that'd be the best way to do it.

@chriswinningham5258 Camera bump is minimal. That's actually one of the things I like about the Bullstrap cases. Feels less like a "bump" than an Apple case

I started looking at "retro" displays when I first saw the LaMetric. And then I think I jumped over to the Tidbyt from there. The Pixoo 64 looks pretty nice actually. From the reviews, it looks like the app might not be the best. Despite not being a fan of the Gen 2 Tidbyt, I thought their dev site looked pretty good. Are you not finding it to be friendly for your app development?

@@brandonontech I guess I’m looking for something with much higher res than something retro. I found your vids while looking for a display. I did find higher res options, but they all seem to have some type of restriction that prevents me from doing what I want to do (i.e. tether a small screen to my pc and display custom info)

@Bulanthe I can't see a way to do it using the normal Messages app. You can scroll quite a bit into the future to pick a single day but not a repeating date. Shortcuts would seem like a way to do it but not sure how. Maybe like some kind of IF statement

@edwardharris-l7x I have to agree with you. I've been using this case on a work trip the last couple of days and the camera button doesn't really work. It''s like this deep hole on the side of the case. I've been trying to get used to it but the slider function is where it really fails.

@chriswinningham5258 There's a little lip to raise it if you were to put it face down. If you lay it down with the screen facing up, the camera bump is protected

@buckandrewj It's a little hard to press tbh. I have the Apple silicone case and the button press there is much better. They're using a crystal piece so the button sits flush with the case. Just makes it easier to use

@bendiep I think the Gen 1 is actually 10 bucks cheaper right now. Seems like we’ve got a mix of people who do and don’t like Gen 2
