Thank you for your question. These so called (re)circulation fans are specially designed to get the wind chill effect inside the poultry house. In natural ventilated houses, there is almost no wind chill effect to cool down the birds (broilers or layers). Then, using these kind of (re)circulation fans will help to lower the negative effect of heat stress. They can help birds to get rid of the heat during hot weather. It is recommended to use these kind of ventilators. Be always aware that the air velocity is not too high. It is important to know how to use these fans before installing them in the poultry house. For example, very young birds don’t like high air velocity, so when used in the wrong way, it can also damage the birds, or even can give higher mortality. When used in a proper way, it will give advantages: less problems with heat stress, resulting in higher performance. In a cage house for layers, these fans are placed above the aisle. The wind speed will be there quite high and causes enough air velocity inside the cages to give the layers some relief. In this way, all cages have the effect of wind chill, the lower, and the higher cages both.

This is depending on the type of feeders. Important is that the feeders become empty once a day. They may stay empty for 2-3 hours and refill them then again with 30% of the daily intake. When they are almost empty again, refill them again with 30% of the daily intake. When you do it like this, you need 3 feedings per day.
