This one is not a Hymn. I will include songs in this new series. I’m playing my “tin”Goni. See the Grandpa Deckard Show Entitled “ngoni vs. “tin”Goni” for an explanation on my hybrid instrument. I built this.

Thank you for your nice comment.
What an incredible story Jim - wow.
Jim, I remember that incident so clearly. Thanks for your courage! We would love to see you guys again sometime soon.
Thank you Wayne. We miss you guys and our Jerusalem church family. We are running an Airbnb at our house and most always work Israel into our conversations.
Do you grind your own buckwheat flour?
Not any more, but we have- early in our 50 years. My Dad even grew it in his garden a time or two.
Fascinating! Thoroughly enjoyed your video, thanks for sharing!
Thank you for your nice comment. Grandpa Deckard
Now that is terrific “wisdom”!!! oh, how I wish I could have seen this RUclips video 35 years ago!😅😂❤😅
Ya, it took me a long time to wise up!
You guys are a great duo. The bass sounds amazingly good.
Thanks for your kind words. May God bless you.
Johnny Standley wrote this song in 1952.
Great testimony!
One of my favorite stories! 🙏🏼
What an amazing testimony of God’s provision. Thank you for that encouragement!!!
non si sente, devi suonare più forte
Great build!
Thank you for the encouragement.
A wonderful video! I have subscribed and enjoyed it plenty! Thank you for making the video and God bless you, sir!
Thanx for your comment and subscription and May God bless you too.
Красивый инструмент получился! В России есть аналог - балалайка контрабас, но он не народный, изобретён для оркестра.
Thanks for your note. I built a balalaika many years ago but not as a double bass. Very interesting.
I myself have heard of the balalaika. I enjoy listening to it just about as much as I like hearing the name.
Выглядит больше как домра, чем балалайка.
That was really nice! Wanted to tell you that you've inspired an amateur musician and instrument builder all the way down in Colombia, south America. I'm going to be trying something like this soon and really like your scroll design 👌🏼
Thank you for your comment. I’d love to see a photo of one of your favorite instruments. My newest project is a “tin”Goni. See it on The Grandpa Deckard Show.
¡Baya! ¡Ohala que ese proyecto salga bien por ahí!
my first car was a1955 Plymouth Savoy two door club cupe, v8, auto, and after mkt A C, I was 18,and bought it from a neighbor for $175, in 1968,it only had 30k miles. it was a fine car, wish I had it today 😢
Thanks for sharing your story about your first car. We have something in common.
The steering wheel center is a color keyed replacement. The original was concave clear plastic with a Plymouth ship emblem in it. Probably the dash was also repainted. The door cards and seats were redone also. No 1955 Plymouth had pleated upholstery and the door cards do not match a Belvedere or a Savoy.
Happy pinching!
Thanks, I’ll do my best.
beautiful build wonderful playing
Thank you, it’s what I like doing.
Looks and sounds awesome!!
Thank you , it was a fun project.
Thank you, Uncle Jim!
You are very welcome
This wasn't my mistake, but I think the association to me is close enough that I can get by with sharing the story. I was part of a team of American and German and Dutch missionaries to Hungary in the early 1990's. We taught English classes, using the Gospels as our text. We liked to try to impress our Hungarian students by incorporating Hungarian words into our lectures. One of my teammates was trying to explain the peace of Jesus by using the Hungarian word béke. Unfortunately, her pronunciation was a little off, and she confused her class considerably by insisting that Jesus had come to bring béka (frog). They will probably never look at John 14 the same!
A frog huh? Now that is bad theology. Like that guy told me one time; “We know just enough Hebrew (or whatever language) to be dangerous.”
Elisha Braman is the elderly gentleman in the photo. He is my 3 Xs Great Grandpa.
First time for me to hear this song.
Thanks for listening. Hope you enjoyed it.
Excellent! Awesome new verse.
Thanks Brian. Glad you liked it.
