Interesting that the floor indicator isn't a floor or 2 ahead of itself.

You only need a key card on the upper floors? Is that the same for the stairs? If so, what do you do if your key card is expired?

The floor indicators were tastefully replaced using the original fixture units. Also, the left car direction lights cancel when the doors start closing but the right one stays lit until the doors are closed. I'm sure parts are hard to find and the right one is original. Either way, great find!! I always liked this style.

Sometimes 3t22s can sound like 2001s in a small way, the low pitch, then listen to a higher pitch. That is where i got the though of 2001s

Thank you for correcting me. The siren has already been replaced by an ATI HPSS32. There are no 2001 sirens within a few miles of this location. You may of heard Thunderbolts, a Whelen or another 3T22.

Two things. A. This a 3t22 not a 2t22. B. The things is stuck on the upper solenoid. By judging it with the 2001 ambience its probably gonna get replaced

From what I experienced during the warning they have not, even though they should have it working.

Very nice. This reminds me of the 2001-DCs we use to have in Livonia that sounded just like that in Attack. The only one we have left is a little bit higher pitched.

Yes, they are required. It highlights where the steps seperate while you are boarding. This prevents injuries resulting in a misplaced foot.

60s-era Otis DC drive escalators...in better shape than I would had expected...

Been on these many times. When I went, you could only go to R3 for security purposes. Nice video!

I believe one bell would be good to alert pedestrians. This is a dense area but some audible notification may be needed.

Are bells really that necessary? I've looked it up on Google Maps and Streetview and noticed that it is a dense residential area. However, South Charles Street and South Vine Street both have bells and the roads are of equal type. I must say, there are a lot of crossroads in your neighborhood. Nearly an overkill of crossroads.

The cantilevers and the masts are still the same, just the lights got upgraded.

It is quite good that these cantilevers were replaced and a more modern system was integrated. It is sad that this crossing still does not have bells.

I looked on street view at this crossing and it appears that the crossing has indeed been worked on since the video was taken. The lights are now 12x24 LEDs instead of 12x20 incandescents but there are still no bells at the crossing.

Yes, it was fixed the day after the shooting of this video.

This elevator is really going downhill. The floor indicator is completely burned out and it is very bumpy going up.

I think they could shut those down for a while to replace all the rollers, the handrail and a few more wear items.

These escalators are narrow for crowd control. It does not allow anyone to pass which keeps things civilized.

That was actually propably updated in the 90s. That's a Monty indicator and they stopped maiking that indicator in the late 90s.
