Do you have a video of what you did or how to put the jack oil in?
I did this the other day. Left the intake manifolds on the heads. Pushed the rubber intakes up in the airbox. Reverse to put them back. Wasn't much fun pulling the rubber intakes back down but still looked easier than your way.
I need to rebuild the petcock on my 97 Virago. Do you think I could remove it and take the petcock off without removing the entire fuel tank? Is it possible?
@@deceitfulfate you might have to still unbolt the top bolts to the tank and lift it up enough to get a small screwdriver to remove the Phillips screws. You’ll need probably about 3 inches of clearance. To be honest, it seems like with would be more of a pain to not remove the tank completely. Let me know if it ends up working for you if you do try it that way.
You have put a lot of effort into these instructions. I bought one of these old ladies by chance on Sunday because it was very cheap and in good condition. I normally ride a '94 Kawasaki 1500 Vulcan. I had no idea that there were two tanks installed. I have to remove rust from the inside of both. It works very well with citric acid and washing soda dissolved in boiling water. Add 100 grams of citric acid granules and 40 grams of washing soda to 1 liter of water. Fill the tank(s) to the brim and leave to soak. Thank you for your efforts! Have fun with the little lady. Greatings from Germany, Swabia. Always keep the rubberside down! 😎😋
Are these good bikes I was looking at a couple on facebook marketplace might consider getting one for my first street bike
That's the way it's suppose to look. I see no valve marks.
Thanks 👍 can't wait to see rebuild
Did you find the petcock rebuild kit or any other parts that fit for this bike? I'm rebuilding rhe exact same bike and parts are a gamble... Would greatly appreciate any info you got for me!!!
@@bayleycyros9362 yeah they’re getting hard to find. There’s an amazon link in the description at the bottom.
Thank you for this!
@@emanuelnicolescu5015 you’re welcome! 😎
That little guy is too small to keep. I’d recommend putting him back in.
@@GeoGeekyt we put him back in. He’s definitely got more growing to do.
Thank you for this video it helped a lot
@@Enginesarethewourld no problem 😎
Vinegar
That’s what I was thinking.
Use the metal handguer for clothes
Use close line
How about guitar string?
Me and the pops used to use about 30 dental floss strings braided together.
🤣
😂😂
Try US Army communications wire. Steel core wrapped in copper with a super tough plastic coating. To throws sparks when you bump into a chain link fence.
Doesn't make asound
@@RandallMilliot yeah I was hoping it would enhance the sound of the weed wacker 😂
@@Dwainsprojects nice
Try using Bicycle wheel spokes. I’ve used them for years
@@quincy5855 I have to try that! I’ll make a RUclips video of it as well. Thanks for that idea!
That seems quite dangerous to be honest, not enough give to them.
Love the no bs
Honest and straightforward. Ty
Hi, where can I found carburator, I bought Yamaha 200, I think it's YTM, but carb is missing. Let me know if you have one original but used. Thanks

Don't need to go crazy as he's using a 2 pound hammer. There are several better ways of doing this. I wouldn't let this guy work on my wheelbarrow.
@@donmunro144 I meant don’t go crazy as in using a 5 lbs sledge hammer. 😂
How did the aftermarket carb work? I can't find your video about it. I have done well rebuilding the stock carb but parts are getting hard to find and expensive.

It looks like something a crappy abortion clinic would use, and something mechanics all around the world would need to fish fallen tools in the engine bay out
Yeah exactly! Some ghetto clinics. 😂
seafoam in the cylinder with the plugs out... clean it out and NOT hydrolock your engine....seafoam is not combustible.
It would be more clean and efficient to use a blade to cut the bottom off because using that hacksaw creates little fragments of plastic that will get stuck to the “diy funnel” and then mix with whatever liquid you pour into it. Just saying 🤷♂️
@@Weez-2_The-Beez I agree! I was thinking about the blade but my hacksaw was within reach so I went with that 😂
Just clean it.
@@billybadass9031 yeah I sprayed with with brake cleaner.
@@Dwainsprojects I'm sure you did. I was talking to the mechanical scientist above.

WHATS WRONG I DONT HAVE IT. 😂😂😂
The distributor shaft is twisted off becuase the oil pump is siezed
I was thinking the same thing. Or it sheered the in pin in it. I have seen an actual sheer pin in the gear on the distributor on a few vehicles.
