I'm makng a show don't tell with the practice, here it goes! Practice 1#: Mark's head lowered with a tired grief look, expressing a very long and exausting day. Practice 2#: The cake glimmered by the light, his cold and delicious coverage taking all the place by it's smell. I tried to write something, but i'm only 10 years old, so hope you like it!
Hi there! First of all, I’m so impressed that you’re practicing writing at 10 years old-amazing job putting your ideas into words! 🎉 You’re off to such a great start, and I love how you’re already thinking about sensory details like how things look and smell. Keep writing and experimenting-you’re doing an awesome job! The more you practice, the better you’ll get. 😊
Hello, when creting the summry of the setting does it hve to be just one plce?
Hi. Great question! Nope, the setting summary in the Snowflake Method does not have to focus on just one place. It can include multiple locations, especially if your story takes place across various environments or regions that are important to the plot.
"endless horizon of ice" bro the ocean is right there😭😭💀
Haha, fair point! Maybe the penguin's just feeling poetic about its journey-or it's too stubborn to look at the ocean. Thanks for the laugh! 😂

All clear to me now this show don't tell writing tip. Thanks so much.
yeah
I like it
You're still telling in your showing examples. One example is when you say don't tell us Sarah is angry and then immediately tell us Sarah's voice is trembling with anger instead of letting the reader infer on their own that she's angry based on what you show. Don't tell the reader a characters emotional state, let them see it in their behavior.
Thanks for your insight! I totally see what you mean. My goal with that example was to help beginners find a middle ground between showing and telling, since fully showing emotion through behaviour alone can be a bit advanced for those just starting out. Here's example of showing using dialogue: Telling: She was angry. Showing: Her hands clenched into fists, and her jaw tightened as she glared at him. 'How could you do this?' she spat, her voice laced with venom. Here is another example: Telling: She was unsure whether to accept the job offer. Showing: Her gaze flickered away for a moment before she forced a smile. 'It's an interesting opportunity,' she said, her voice lacking its usual enthusiasm. There are also many other examples in the video that lean more toward pure showing, where I focus on characters’ actions and descriptive details to reveal emotions. Appreciate your feedback, and I’ll keep this in mind as I create future content!
@@imagineforestCool, Makes sense

Thank you!
This is a really cool concept. Very useful and intuitive
Glad you liked it - Thanks!
can we get a better generator? Lafaias Aleanathem sounds stupid and unwieldy.
I appreciate your honesty! Naming can be subjective, and I get that Lafaias Aleanathem might not be for everyone. I'll look into improving the generator for future videos. In the meantime, what kind of names do you think would work better?
That's a clever way to drive engagement at the end. I'm Vonam Bannitlithar
Thanks! I’m glad you liked the approach! Vonam Bannitlithar is a fantastic name-very unique!
Thanks for this technique
