Late to the party here. But I bought one. Advertised as 440c but it’s 440A. Mine was never sharpened and after I did, it didn’t hold an edge for shit.

The metal ring is to prevent the knife clearing TSA security. Should you get caught, you're missing your plane for sure! Not worth trying it/attempting it!

just make your own sheath that doesnt have metal and take the metal ring off and boom no metal and can be undetected by metal detectors

its to comply with the so called "laws" that they have those rings on them

They was just looking at this little puppy online and they have it at my local outdoor store just down the street. They want $60 Canadian for it. Judging by your review its pretty solid and worth the money. I wont be putting it through what youre in the video. So it should hold up with light to minimal use. I have a few things i wanna use it for.

For a cheap sheath for the ring dagger take a toilet paper roll and a rubber band fold the cardboard over to the right size wrap with rubber band then you can take the rubber band a stretch it up and put it on the knife for solid retention

Lower the edge angle on a reprofile to 15 degrees, like a Spyderco, and it’ll likely feather stick. You are probably right, it probably is the factory edge.

I have it and carry it. Big as I can get and still conceal IWB due to their spring steel clip. I did not realize it was chisel grind when I ordered it. But for my use its fine.

Really good demo. Interested to know if you could get sparks using the notch on the ferro rod if it fits. That way you don't compromise the blade edge. Thinking of getting one to bone out my chickens which i eat regularly.

lost the tip after misuse? stop watching forged in fire and assuming this is what knives are for. fdoing what you did to "test" the thing voided the warranty as soon as you turned it over and smacked the spine on the log and wanting to return it and get a new one or your money back is going to be impossible since you posted the video of the misurse

I'm looking for a dedicated 4" stainless steel flat grind food prep knife for camp and this looks like a good contender. The 3" blade is a little short. Wish they offered a 4" variation. I realized all my fixed blades are in 1095, 5160 and two Buck 650 Nighthawks in 425M and 420HC. I have narrowed it down to this the Kabar Snody Big Boss and Buck Selkirk. But the Buck Selkirk is made in china and doesn't have the Bos heat treat so that one is out now.

That is a sexy SOB! I got 2 of them for my daughter and I. Her favorite knife is the Gerber Mk2 so I figured she'd like this. So I got her one aling with a Sheffield British Commando dagger. When the WASP came in I saw it and ordered one for myself. I replaced a Cold Steel Recon Tanto with it for use on my ready gear.
