I mean that just shows you're doing good and improving. Being able to take a bad seed with bad RNG and still getting a good time on it just means that when you actually do get good RNG, it's gonna be an insane run!

I would definitely say just start with some starter RUclips tutorials. With Minecraft speedrunning being so popular, there are tons of guides for how to start. The main things to learn early on are shipwreck or village overworlds (it can be useful to use villages early on since you'll get more food, but shipwrecks are definitely faster), bastion routing, e-ray and pie-ray, stronghold navigation, and one cycling. It sounds like a lot to learn, but they are each individually pretty quick to understand, and you'll get better and better over time!

Yeah, I do a fair bit of speedrunning outside of these practice runs. All of my important PBs are on GlazedMinecraft, my other RUclips channel, but I haven't gotten a new Any% PB in almost 2 1/2 years, just other categories

Honestly that's a valid criticism. I usually just upload the pure raw footage of the entire run, but in this case 25 minutes of pausing was definitely excessive. I'll try my best to remember to cut out excessive pauses in the future

Lol sorry about all the pauses. Sometimes they're to take a breather after a scary moment (like the boat clutch at the bastion), but most of the time it's because I'm pausing to write stuff in the spreadsheet

@@glazedpractice1136 it was a pain but I bought 2 new accounts if I have any words of advice is that Microsoft does not care and will lock your new accounts if you even change your password so just don’t deal with them

That's pretty hard to say. From what I understand, there are a lot of shops selling accounts, so finding where it's being sold would be hard. I was really lucky to have a random person message me on Discord telling me where it is. I'm sorry to hear about you losing your account, and hopefully you somehow stumble into it in the future and can recover it

Dang, sorry to hear you lost a PB attempt, but GG on beating Hardcore for the first time! It's definitely not for everyone so I understand lol. One thing I would suggest is to learn how to get the dragon to force perch which can be done in Icarus. I have no idea how difficult it is since I've never played Icarus, but it's basically a way with shooting a crystal where you can force the dragon to perch instantly everytime if you do it right

I do plan on restarting a new Skyblock profile starting July 1st! The main profile I was playing on was intended to be a No Death Ironman, but I did use saving graces, so this time I'm not going to use any to make it much harder on myself lol

That's rough to hear, I'm glad you got some closure out of it. It's nice to get those final moments even though they're bittersweet af. I also have mostly quit Skyblock after losing my account so I completely get that, it's so hard to get motivation to start again

It's honestly so frustrating that I don't know which ended up actually happening. The account hasn't been on Hypixel since I lost it almost a month ago, and I don't understand why they wouldn't try to sell it to me in the end for cheaper if they had given up on selling it to others

That's awesome you're getting into speedrunning again, and it's awesome that you want to improve! One other tip I would give it to try MCSR Ranked as well. It's a lot faster paced than full runs and can often have even more pressure, and has also just been a load of fun, so that could be helpful as well. Good luck in your speedrunning!

My best run ever in any% is a 14:50 on my main channel GlazedMinecraft, while my best during these practice runs was not even a minute slower at 15:48, which was Practice Run 486

I'm a little confused on what you're referring to. What is forcing you to quit speedrunning and delete your twitch channel? Without knowing the whole situation, it's hard to give advice, but if it's just negativity from other people you just have to find it in yourself to ignore it. Speedrunning shouldn't be about getting validation from others, it's best to speedrun because it's enjoyable and you want to see yourself improve. If you aren't having a good time with speedrunning, then I completely understand if you don't want to continue, but you shouldn't feel forced to delete your twitch channel over the hate you've been receiving. Maybe taking a break from speedrunning and the community could help as well?

​@@glazedpractice1136 I get thousands of comments of just people saying, "Bro has a elytra, he's cheating" (I'm a girl) and I hide them but they keep coming back. Today, I could have had a sub 16 pb, until the dragon flipped during my one cycle and that was the last straw. I ended stream, deactivated my twitch account and deleted multimc. It's dumb. I'm now focusing on beating minecraft in hardcore mode normally.

@@CrimsonRose18 I'm sorry to hear about the negativity you get. I assume those comments are referring to when you were grinding for an icarus PB? If so, although it's easier said than done, you should try to ignore the comments about you cheated considering you weren't. Anyone giving those comments clearly have no basis to make such comments and you were just doing what you enjoyed. Also, considering your Twitch account is now gone, maybe you can consider a fresh start? I know that you said you were permanently quitting speedrunning, and that's fine if that's what you want to do, but if you were actually enjoying speedrunning and just feel forced to stop due to comments, I would strongly recommend just speedrunning anyway. If you are enjoying the hardcore playthrough better, then that's fantastic, but just do what you enjoy and your audience should eventually be made up of those who actually enjoy what you do.

@@CrimsonRose18 My main question to you is why can't you do both? Even if you don't lose your hardcore series, why not just do a bit of speedrunning if you have a passion for it. I understand that it can be hard to ignore comments and not be negatively impacted, that shouldn't completely stop you from doing something you enjoy. At the very worst, if you don't want to deal with the comments, you can always speedrun without streaming or uploading. Obviously it's not ideal, and it's your decision at the end of the day, but please don't quit speedrunning if your only reason for doing so is because of other's comments.
