This channel is devoted to demonstrating various MSX hardware made by the RBSC (Russian Bear Service Crew) as well as other MSX-related hardware. Occasionally, there could be videos about other hardware. The videos are published as soon as there appears something interesting to share, there's no schedule of any kind. All URLs to the demonstrated hardware are pasted into the descriptions of the videos.

Testing Z80 socket extender on Yamaha YIS-503III MSX2
The Z80 socket extender project allows to relocate the CPU's socket in order to install upgrades into MSX computers that have limited space around or above the Z80 socket. Such upgrades could include F4 port boards, 7MHz turbo boards, FMPAC boards or RAM expander boards. The initial test is done with the standard IDE flat ribbon cable, but the results are inconclusive. The hardware in the extender works fine, but it needs more testing.
On this particular video the 2MB RAM expander created by Andrey Koryakin is inserted into the far end of the Z80 extender. The RAM expansion is set to work in slot 2 of the MSX computer (see the yellow wire).

Testing desoldered Gotek's screens with a simple circuit board

There are 3 gears there that usually break. I've made 3D models of all problematic gears. But if they don't work for you, there's a guy from Poland on Ebay who sells those gears. They are of much better quality

Троловский тестер?
Нет, специальный тестер для 4116 микросхем (которые Тролловский тестер пока не поддерживает) модифицированный и ображенный мной. Но корпуса похожи - я для Тролловского такой же корпус сделал.
Super!
Nice mod - Not doing this mod, but I've changed out the springs for rubber bands and it has a better feel with no detent. However I still get the scraping sound you have in the video of the metal on the plastic bushing, I've add more grease it makes it smother but still noisy - Did you ever solve the scraping issue?
As far as I can tell, the scrapping sound comes from the handle, not from the mechanics inside the yoke.
Alex, I did the mod today and it works perfect. It seems though that MSFS2020 doesn't react to the last couple of degrees, although everything is calibrated perfectly fine. But on a hardware side: GREAT JOB!
what about with the recent upgrade of sensivity system on MFS ?
is it linear? or is it just phisycal
Will you post files so we can 3D print parts?
Hi, do you have Link to download the STL`s ? thanks. :)
The instructions and 3D models are published here: www.thingiverse.com/thing:4596632
Are you planning to make a more detailed video about this mod?
There will be no other videos of the mod. I will only provide the STL files when I can prove that the device works as expected. But there will be a description on how to apply the mod. As I could not fix the circuit board, I have to look for another cheap Saitek Yoke to re-apply the mod. This may take a while because the average price of this yoke in EU is 80 Euro.
I did not quite understand. why is the board not working? It initially did not work or was it related to the mod?
@@alexandergoryabin3312 No, this mod was only for the mechanical parts of the yoke. I bought a broken yoke (not recognized when connected to a PC) on purpose - to save costs. As I have some skills in electronics repair, I hoped to fix the problem myself. But it looks like solving the problem with the circuit board is beyond my skill set.

Hello, I would like to make a Multi-Mapper Cartridge board to record a couple of konami games and I have a couple of doubts with the two chips it uses. One is the AM29F040, the question is whether either works or has to end in -90JC and the other chip is the Altera EPM7064SLC44 (PLCC44), I have searched for aliexpress and they have this: #Aliexpress € 0.86 50% OFF | 1pcs / lot EPM7064SLC44-10N EPM7064SLC44-10 EPM7064SLC44 EPM7064 PLCC-44 EPM7064SLC a.aliexpress.com/_BPBMCm does not say Altera, would it be worth ?, I need your help thanks !!!
As for AM29F040 - you can buy chips with timing smaller than 100ms, so -90JC will work fine. For Altera chip just use the required part number - EPM7064SLC44. I think the sellers are trying to avoid using "Altera" because Intel has a monopoly on this trademark. And the chips you are going to buy are either clones or fakes. I've encountered a large number of fake and locked chips with this part number. So we had to replace those chips with more powerful ones for the later cartridge's version.
@@alexwierzbowskyHello, In the end I have bought several, I hope it works and I can install the firmware with the usb blaster. I have asked the seller and he has told me that they are Altera. In the comments of the people it says that they are like the originals. Thank you.

Nice mod!!! ¿Did you replaced the USB2504 from the motherboard and work again? I have the same issue, board not working, and I think that replacing the usb2504 could fix it.
Not yet. The chips are on the way to me from China. Your board could have a different problem. On my board the USB2504's clock and all voltages are ok, so this is very likely that the chip's USB input circuit died. On your board there could be a broken voltage regulator, so replacing the chip won't help. You need to diagnose the board before making a decision on what to replace.
