A doctor can't just call timeout on an open heart surgery, to go pick up someone from the airport😆. They would have to wait for another surgeon to take over, the second the runaway doc drops the scalpel. Not that they would be allowed to leave in the first place, just because they need to pick up someone at the airport.

Emily wasn't innocent, she knew he was married & was only his employee. The only relationship that should exist between them, was a business connection. Yet she accepted the attention, flowers, jewelry, & party. She accepted & reciprocated, with the WIFE in front of her. If she knew HE was organizing an event for her birthday . She could've thanked him for the sentiment, but refuse out of respect for his wife. IF she didn't know about the party. A decent woman with no hidden interests, would've thanked BOTH of them as a couple (to help his wife save face) to show her gratitude, but apologetically REFUSE the gifts & attention. If the wife asked her to accept the gifts none the less, then it would've been acceptable for her to keep said gifts. Specially when everyone around them is whispering about a supposed "affair". By accepting it all, she showed little respect to his wife. So it doesn't sit right that they ended up befriending each other. Even if they never slept together or were intimate, it was STILL AN AFFAIR (specially on his part). Even the public thought they were in a relationship. So how close must they have been, for the people around them to have gotten THAT impression. 😌I'm glad the FL didn't accept him again. Only a heartless & un-unworthy husband, would throw their wife out in the rain, in the middle of the night, at a random place. It was a good story, thank you. 😊🙏🏼

Sitting on two chairs at once is obviously something that boosts an ego of many men. It may be a bit fussy but benefits are obviously worth enough to maintain the ambiguity. Being devoted to only one person is sign of maturity that many people never reach in the lifetime and having messy relationships is a drama they can never let go of. Any disscomfort and unfortune they get because of such mindset it's all well deserved payback for playing with human emotions.

Liked this story. There were bumps along the way but the ending was satisfying. Note: The very serious topic of girls and women in the entertainment industry being used and abused is a factor in the story.

First love is powerful. I can understand Matthew thinking about his first love years after they parted, but his public posting was a cruelty to his loving wife. It was obvious that she would see it. By ignoring his wife's plea from the hospital to celebrate his ex's birthday and responding to her amorous advances at the reunion, he killed his wife's love. Mattew deserved to lose her.

Although he's older, the FL's boyfriend of 3 years is a selfish man-child who still maintains constant communication with his ex. It's fun to watch the FL grow and thrive after leaving him. Even years later, he still hadn't grown into true maturity while the FL was living a satisfying life.

The women in these stories never want to challenge their spouses, but especially in public. The women often talk about "saving face" for the family... but the men (and women in some cases) never consider that when they act disrespectfully
