Great stuff Tom - COYT
Glad enfield is still going
I remember the old stadium was empty for years before they built on it
Northampton Town and Chesterfield were fan owned before then
Saw my first ever non league game at Southbury Road,Enfield Town v Gravesend and Northfleet which Enfield won 4-0. I moved away in my early 20s but always kept a soft spot for Enfield Town. Now thirty odd years later I live in Kent just down the road from Ebbsfleet United fc,or Gravesend and Northfleet fc as they were known!
This club was previously not on my radar, but this project seems very worthwhile indeed! Fan-based ventures generally deserve lots of recognition and the strong level of support really comes across in this clip. The ground seems very cozy too!
Wow, that was a great bit of nostalgia, culminating in ETFC’s finest day!
Nice vid. Would have liked more on the nomadic ground sharing and how Donkey Lane happened. Looking forward to seeing Bath there next season.
Whos the club owner?
The supporters. Enfield Town led the way for AFC Wimbledon, FC United of Manchester and others.
The first goal at Chatham was from Bernie Tanner. Somehow it got credited to Ollie Knight (Lewis Knight plays for Margate).
Loved this! Such memories from Southbury Road. Come on Towners
