I like your take on this band and this song. I'm from their part of the country Jacksonville Fl, 62 years. This song, has been one of my favs of theirs for 50 years. This song makes your shoes shuffle around, just like Ronnie sung in their song "Whiskey Rocka-Rolla".

ya know why they look so young? BECAUSE THEY ARE! Bonzo is a sandwich of Ginger Baker and Keith Moon w/ Max Roach in between.

During the early to mid 70s Bowie took on the personality of a different character for each album album. The Ziggy character was an alien Rocker and Bowie wrote the songs and performed them in the style of the character before moving on to the next persona and album...hence the different styles. He abandoned this approach after the 1976 Thin White Duke persona but still kept moving forward and experimenting with different forms of music.

Not relevant? Check out what SpaceX were doing back when you uploaded this. What weirds me out is that back when I first heard this in the early 70's it seemed futuristic. Nice to hear a different interpretation tho.

Rumour has it this song was written about Gary Numan. Apparently Bowie was sick of other younger artists aping him …..no idea if it’s true but I love this song. Robert Fripp’s guitar raises it above the norm. Bowie had the knack of surrounding himself with exceptional talent.

This song impacted me in 1972, my brother had bought the album, and when I finished listening to it, I definitely became a fan, this song was my anthem, I am now 65 years old, I still love Bowie, and I still love all music, greetings from Leeds.

The very first person that I have seen react to this song It doesn’t matter what song you react to from this band They literally do not have a bad song Listen to Am I Loosing,Trust,Traveling Man,Double Trouble,I’m a Country Boy and Song For The Bad Man And so many more They played in the Fox theater in Atlanta Georgia in 1976 and it was a live recording to the album One More From the Road They covered the song by Cream called Cross Roads witch was an old blues song by Robert Johnson But man they killed this song But it doesn’t matter witch song by this band you listen to They are all good or relatable in some way

Jimmy Page & Robert Plant have said that every time they step onto the stage, they only have a “set” outline of what will happen then the whole concert is improvisational-amazing how creative they all are! They Always make sure each band member gets their time to shine. No one can touch them! Evidence is it’s been 55 years since Led Zeppelin I came out and it’s still alive and kicking ass! Definitely check out the whole O2 2007 Reunion concert-Phenomenal! 20million tickets requested, 18,000 granted!

If you are not familiar.with Bowies tunes, perhaps you should listen to a couple dozen of his hits before you start commenting, the man was a musical chameleon.

These clips are from the movie, the song remains the same, it's a 2 hour movie. That came out in 1976 I was 8 years old and I went to see it with my friend when I emerged from the movie. I knew that Led Zeppelin were rock gods. The movie contains all of the live footage from the Madison Square Garden movie concert. It also contains all the Jama around that concert, like all of the proceeds were robbed at gunpoint while Led Zeppelin was performing also each member of Led Zeppelin jamban ham, John Paul. All Jones, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant. All have a solo montage with a adventure type. Movie clip that is amazing, just like all their songs about vikings and fast cars and dragons and love and war. And hate that movie is definitely worth watching and doing a review

Thisbis my Favorite Led Zeppelin Album because of the nostalgia and memories associated with it. In April of 1979 i turned 10 years old and for my Birthday my mom Bought me a Record player with 2 speaker for my room, a set of stereo headphones and 1 Album " Led Zeppelin House's of the Holy " this begins a lifelong L8ve with music and Led Zeppelin. Thannk you Mom and Led Zeppelin for such a wonderful gift that has enriched my life.

John's drum kit was given to him by Carmine Appice (same one Carmine used). It does not have the 2nd bass drum because the band said it was too much.

Im the beginning of the song he wants to change his life because his life is so meesed up, almost as if he only looks for god when it goes bad but when it all goes well. Something terrible happens to him (he loses his friend) Thats pretty much the story throughout all the verses. When it goes well and u lose EVERYTHING do u then lose faiht? The last verse he says its all bad BUT he has faith with him still. Not alot but something to keep him focused that there is a god. Powerful message. Alot of people go in desperation and just say F it. Go rob a bank, kill someone, do anything to change my position. But hes saying dont, keep faight. Good song 🎵 👌

Okay, try this one. 'It's Gonna Be Me' from 1975. It should have made it onto the Young Americans album, but it did make it onto The Gouster (from the Who Can I Be Now? set). If you're interested in Bowie's vocals try this out!

"Bowie's voice sounds different on this track" Ha ha, welcome to the world of Bowie's amazing vocals, that frequently sound different. From his faux Cockney accented vocals to his breathy soul to deep baritone, even sounding exactly like Marc Bolan on 1970s 'Black Country Rock'. Bowie was the chameleon of vocals as well as songwriting.
