okay so I haven't watched the whole show yet, but what I know that Dean would never quit the job in the early seasons. Sure, the Djinn version showed him the life he could have, a life he wanted, but he also lived for the job. And I haven't come ot that point in the show yet, but here in this edit in the beginning Sam asks "You wanna quit?" and Dean reasons it "ever since I got the mark, ever since I had to bury Cas (...)" SO THE LOSS OF CAS WAS TOO BIG FOR HIM TO HANDLE AND HE DOESN'T WANT THE JOB ANYMORE; SOMETHING HE HAD NEVER DONE BEFORE BECAUSE OF SOMEONE ELSE
