Short Jamuary project. Synth lead and bassline sampled from a Hydrasynth. Wanted to go a bit more complex but was starting to run out of voices and was pretty happy with where it was anyways. Song mode with pattern chaining please TE!

Jam made with Teenage Engineering Pocket Operators 14, 32, and 35. Pattern sequence lengths are offset, so they form new combinations as they play together here. Voice samples from my kid :)

@@CerisCinderwolf1 I assumed that's what he meant but still have no idea what it means! Wtf is Duck Soup? Lol. Never heard that phrase in relation to the other saying.
@@mcdonamw I worked it out! Google defines "duck soup" as: an easy task, or someone easy to overcome. "we had some great battles, but against me he was duck soup." So all of 5's other euphemisms (e.g. "piece of cake") infer that following the tracks would be easy- like duck soup! I feel like I've solved a mystery I discovered 25 years ago when I was 8, haha! Glad I could share the knowledge!

@@mcdonamw my girlfriend opted to watch them back to back for the first time tonight and I wasn't going to pass them up. It bugged me so I got on a searched it, saw your comment and it all clicked in place! Happy to have been a part of the solution for you! I also discovered the second phrase was "can of corn" and read about that one too (baseball term for routine fly ball to outfield- easy catch)!

I miss old school simple animations from scoreboards and stuff. Some were really creative given the limitations!
In russian they translated the phrase into: "I need a man to kick a chicken".
KO Derf is one of my favorite "Yes" alternatives to this day.
