I agree with many people here that hockey was pretty good and doesn't belong on this list. But auto racing was pretty lame.

You seem to have forgotten the by far most abysmal game ever on the 2600, which should be right on top of this list: donkey kong. Far worse than all these by a landslide.

Pac-Man shouldn't be on this list. It's not a great game, but it's certainly not one of the worst.

I liked Boxing. As for Zaxxon and Donkey Kong that was released by Coleco. They made them bad, deliberately.

Big disagree on NHL Hockey. It's so much better than this guy makes it sound...and once you get good at it, you could get into some ridiculously fun shootouts with your opponent(ie my brother, a couple of different friends, etc, who all likewise became really good at it). Scores of games would get into double digits....like 15-10, 13-12, etc!

One of my favorites was Vanguard. A lot more fun to play than most of these.

Star Strike - never understood it Space Hawk - huh? Tron Maze-A-Tron WTF? I agree with a number of your selections, but I thought auto racing was awesome. We used to have family competitions on that one.

I purchased my earthquest new from a 5 dollar bargin bin. I didn't join any club. I did not pay attention to the comic included so yeah, I had no idea what I was doing , but there was the one room that always vexed my frinds and I, A room where lines moving down with spaces to walk through get thicker as you go left to right, No one I knew could get through the last thickest line to get the Item.

Nice list - learned of some new titles. PAC man was the last 2600 game I bought- I gave up on the 2600 because it was just so bad. Moved onto the Vic20/c64 and b never looked back. Another awful title was Warplock. Truly craptastic in every way.

Atari 2600 Ms. Pac-Man was actually a great port produced by the original arcade developers.

Pole Position, Zaxxon and Donkey Kong, in particular, were PATHETIC! Looks like Atart and Coleco both tried to sabotage Intellivision.

Congo Bongo officially sucks on every platform it was ever ported to and in the arcade.

Good list with a lot of popular games. Pitfall 2 was amazing back in the 80s. I would probably swap out Asteroids for Atlantis and maybe a couple others for Activision games (Keystone Kapers) or Frogger, etc. but that's the beauty of these subjective lists.

Auto racing was one of the BEST games. You're just one of those people who had no spatial ability so when the cars headed down the screen you got confused which way to turn.

100% agree with Swordquest being terrible. The other Atari adventure style games were generally pretty good. I enjoyed Superman, Adventure, Haunted House, and Raiders of the Lost Ark. I even had some fun figuring out and playing ET. In fact, I commend you for leaving ET off the list. Swordquest was much worse than ET. Swordquest was completely boring and really had no point.

One drawback of the Intellivision was its tendency to overheat. Intellivision 2 didn't have that problem.

Pac Man arcade is still available at arcades and an occasional Pizza shop

Astrosmash is great but if you are really good you can be playing for hours. One hour is pretty normal for me.

I figured this was just some joker using the line "Official Top 10" when there's nothing else official about it. If it were really "official" then we'd see sales figures to back up the list with Baseball being the number 1. It doesn't even say "my favorite 1-player games" or anything like that. Mattel did a big ad campaign, saying their sports games were so much better than Atari's, but none were listed here. They also promoted their space games after getting slaughtered by Atari licensing Space Invaders. Just one space game here, and it's not impressive to me. Despite it's good graphics, I'm glad I had the better Atari games to play, so many based on 1970s arcade games. Oh, well. I did at least watch the video and comment, instead of just ignoring it like I was going to.

WRONG WRONG WRONG on Hockey, boxing and auto racing. Hockey was a GREAT 2 player game. I used to pass all the time right b4 you would get checked to sometimes force a penalty and goals were not that hard to come by. Boxing had variety with 6 different boxers to choose from and knocking your opponent out was a blast. Auto racing was AWESOME and not that hard to control the car

Coleco INTENTIONALLY made both the Atari 2600's, & Intellivision's versions of Donkey Kong as CRAPPY as they possibly could! (To "push" ColecoVision's MUCH better version!)
