10/06/24 White Salmon River, WA 1.3 ft on the Husum Stick 84 whitewater women took to the river for GP 24! What an amazing day - other than perfect weather and perfect company, the potluck, raffle and event put on by IR were a blast too! Thanks to all those who help put this on every year, your work and dedication are appreciated!

9/28/24 North Santiam River, OR 1550 cfs on the Niagara gauge Fall is upon us, but the sun isn't quite gone yet! 9 of us enjoyed it while it lasts. Perfect day for Rachel's 1st time on PackSaddle, and good times had by all!

07/26/24 Middle Fork Willamette River, OR 420 cfs on the MFW Above Salt Creek gauge Colin, Dave & I snuck in an evening run the night before swiftwater safety weekend started. It was gorgeous, but barely enough water! I think we still have some bottom left on our boats... :)

07/28/24 Middle Fork Willamette, OR Day 2 of the 3rd annual OKCC Swiftwater Safety Weekend with Gradient River Essentials Despite dealing with heavy wildfire smoke, the group did an awesome job practicing rigging and unpinning, as well as live bait rescue. Great weekend!!

That's just a lovely little river. Also, Just LOVE the pogies which the paddler who was taking the first-person footage had on! In my day, pogies were usually all the same colour. You could choose between blue and black. No patterns. There weren't any women's get-togethers either. You went with the men, or you didn't go at all. I am so glad to see that these days women have their own place in the sport. I hope all of you just keep rockin' it! You're living the life!

Kayaking? Never heard of it. Don't worry about the rocks. It ain't john-boating if ya don't scrape bottom from time to time. Oh, it's not a john-boat? Then what is it? Kayak? Never heard of it.
