2019 Jimny Koos se klim
Просмотров 12 тыс.5 лет назад
Koos se klim has a reputation, and in the bar at Moegatle is the wall of shame where there are a vast number of pictures of the failures on Koos se klim, the results are not pleasant. As far as I am aware no open diff Jimny has completed the climb. I did it in a 3rd gen with a rear lockright locker, and since then a number of others have followed (First Suzuki up was a Samurai with crawler gear...
New Jimny vs Old at de Wildt
Просмотров 49 тыс.6 лет назад
First part is me trying to crawl as slowly as possible on the concreted training track. The rest are the 3rd and 4th gen JImny's doing the same obstacles. In the 3rd sequence this was the 3rd gen's last attempt, he had tried multiple times before.

At Piesangkloof, Magaliesberg, South Africa. Go pro and cell phone footage of the same obstacle. As usual the video doesn't show how steep it really is. Even the Rubicon had to have a couple of goes at it.

New Jimny at Bass Lake 4x4 track. The trainers party trick is to show how much of an angle the Jimny can be tipped to.

That cutie is very impressive! 👌🥰👍
Only difference here is driver experience and lack of tyre tread! Get some insa turbos on that white one and it would have eaten every obstacle!
What tyres do you use ?
In this video I am using Firestone Destination A/T 215/80R15. I now have General Grabber x3 M/T's 235/75R15.
This car is to good. Well done jimny! I will buy this car!
Thanks for 4K video
very impressive
It looked like a load cell in there. What was the max measured rope tension just above the 90kg load?
I am Ziad from Saudi Arabia I say that Suzuki Gemini or as we used to call it "Sumamurai the best car in history and I own one model 1995 and now work but the agent in Saudi Arabia is weak does not provide spare parts and has no maintenance branches in most areas so Suzuki has a bad reputation because of the bad agent
Hey, I just want to let you know that the Japanese flag(rising sun) is like hakenkreuz in east asia history. You should avoid it. :)
In east asia, e.g. South Korea they seem to have an issue with the flag. elsewhere there doesn't seem to be much of an issue. I bought souvenirs in Japan with this flag.
Complimenti video bellissimo

俺もJ B 64乗ってます。 世界中でジムニーが走ってるのは日本の誇り ルーフの旭日旗が👍
Very nice offroading of the Jimny. If not mistaken, AC was also turned ON.
Hi mate. When you will post a new video? Thanks
By the looks of things the new jimny is more capable, bit that the old one wasn't, the new one is just better. I've just placed an order for a manual glx in the same medium Gray colour...
Skilled driver!
Completely novice driver. The instructor is the one waving his arms.
Those look like stock tyres 😳 am impressed! What PSI did you lower the tyres to?
Yes, stock. We get the crappy dunlops. 16 hours after it left the show room. Tyres are at 10psi
El conductor de el OLD no sabe manejar, hasta en lo más sencillo queda como si fuera primera vez usando un carro fuera del alfalto
Would love to share this on our Bass Lake Adventures Google business page, could you do this, or tell me how, many thanks. Great video!! Thanks for visit to our venue 🙂.
Hi Alan, you are welcome to use the video. I don't know how to add a video to your google business page. Maybe just add the link to the video.
On standard bridgestone road tyres
Suzuki literally make the best 4x4s ever they know what we love and want out of our 4x4s jeep also with the wrangler still awesome, landrovers gone to shit all their vehicles are independent suspension now so any Land Rover after 05 is boring and annoying and to modern looking
Pro!!
Woah. Look at that articulation!
But where's the onroad review? 😋😋
I would love to buy a Jimny but can only afford a second hand old model, from the video it appears the old model does substantially poorer than the new one, is that so? Or is it the (what appears to be) bigger wheels on the new model in the video that makes it perform better with better ground clearance?
The new one has traction control, which makes quite a difference. I have however extensive off road driving experience. The driver of the old Jimny is fairly new to off-road driving.
Very nice climb!! 😉
Do you still have stock jimny or you put some upgrade from powertrain like lockers?
Drive train is standard. In this video, the only upgrade is bigger all terrain tyres.
@@vicrundle4661 thanks bro
Very good demonstration partly on undeveloped places.
Hill41??
Done. 😁
Outstanding for such a short wheel base.
stupid driver
Bit of an anti climax this one. Appreciate the video though 👍🙏
A lot of tyre slipping and hardly any grip. I thought there was some kind of diff lock on this to give equal power to all wheels and to prevent wheelspin ? Im no expert on these systems, sorry.
Proper differential locks would give equal torque to wheels on the same axle. This system brakes a spinning wheel allowing torque to be transferred to the other wheel on the same axle. The system is far from perfect, but is still a lot better than open diffs.
Deflate the tyres for more grip
The tyres are at 0.7 bar.
@@vicrundle4661 ok
Nice video mate!...btw Is your car Manual or Auto?
When do you post another new video of Jimny?
Para mí concepto los dos suzukis son iguales solo depende del conductor y el tipo de neumáticos tengan y me parece a mí que el conductor del Jimny blanco no tiene mucha experiencia
The traction aids make a big difference
The old-Jimny driver should not drive. How on earth do you Stoll a vehicle so many times consecutively?
His passenger kept turning on the aircon without him seeing.
i think in the old jimny ..you put a stupid driver on purpose ..
is the new jimney being driven am Auto ?has a steady speed uphill compared to the old Jimney needing clutch control ?
Yes, it is an automatic. I was trying to drive it as slowly as it would go. You can't drive the manual that slowly.
I swear this vehicle is awesome
Only tires and mudflaps on this car? (If so, yeap it is pretty convincing for a stock setup!) May I also ask how the auto gearbox drives on the highway with these tires, much hunting 3rd/4th gear or not?
If only it were a bit longer and had 4 instead of 2 doors!
that would suck. Jimnys were and are only 2 door 4x4s.
@@giorgosioannou4217 sad it's coming now
Hey victor what brand/height spacer lift kit + extension brackets would u recommend for a stock jimny with a deleted swaybar & extended brake lines? Thanks!
I don't think there are any bad kits out there. Usually the more you spend the better quality you get. If you can afford it rather go with a set of longer replacement shocks than shock spacers.
@@vicrundle4661 but aren't the relocating brackets rotated by 90 degrees so they take the load away from the rear lower shock mounts and prevent the common jimny rear shock mount failure?
@@anisbekhazi8049 I'm not sure. My Jimny had rear shock spacers for only about 50000km of it's 160000km life, and I never had an issue with shock mounts. My first Jimny was stock and did 93000km with no problems.
Manrap
Salam satu hobi kak, udah padam bosku jgn lupa mampir balik ya
Come to canada!!
I want this whells!
What tyres are you using? BFG KO2s?
No. Firestone Destination A/T's. BFG's don't flex enough, and the compound is too hard.
@@vicrundle4661 what size?
@@davidcollins2258 215/80R15s, they are 5% bigger than stock.
@@vicrundle4661 what do you think about General Grabber X3 MT's?
@@AlexandruCristianB I don't have any personal experience of them, but haven't heard anything bad about them. They would certainly be high on my list if I was looking for new tyres.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🇪🇸🐐
