Very impressive.... I never thought I needed one for my car until I saw this. You could also use them on boats.
Car? You can use the smallest version for your car. This was the small 26-pounder. I think they make a 15! Ha!
I have an older spade with the hollow shank. I love it. It holds. And it come on and off the bow very easily. A keeper for me as my main anchor. I have cruised and anchored much of the world.
instead drop lead beads coated with polypropilene (no water intake) all glued with resin, et voila, no more galvanization loss by lead
Turn the music off
ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO. RETIRED 77, USAF VFW.
I watched one anchor video recently and now this is in my recommendation. Guess I'll be getting anchor vids a lot now.
your stuck ... pun intended
All this video taught me ...Ram sucks.
If you use it on land you better call OUPS before you deploy it...lol. Then call a recovery service to retrieve it.
The size of spade anchor is much biger than the other
Hooow STUUUPID. LAND LUBBERS trying be sailors!
4 kilotonnes - what the fuck are you on about?
This looks to work easier and better then the pull pal but the pull pal is a little easier to store away
Could you use this for a land anchor for offroading?
I plan on trying a traditional anchor this summer on the beach. I think the reason it fails here is that a traditional anchor you it's supposed to get pulled up by the rope. In the video, the rope is low so it doesn't even have a chance to dig in. I bet if you got it started, it would hold just fine.
I'd like to know the answer to that question too.
Same. Here in sw Fl there aren't real trees. Just Brazilian cherry that are more like bushes where we go
@@HectorGarcia-vu9pn i think if it is wet send you can use any good anchor also the first one in the video is actually a greate anchor for sand, a bigger version is maybe even better than the espade
Ok, now try it with a Ford.
markleyg 😆 lol
how does it compare with the Knox anchor?
Now thats an anchor not a plough.
Note the bs setup on the fluke, setup standing up, then rapid pull so it never set. Then very careful set on the spade. Not a fair test
Was thinking that myself.
Exactly, not to mention it’s sand......Try rock or Sea weed and see what holds....
excuse me for my ignorance, but what is spade anchor, what for is it
Is a boat anchor
Dumb.. the scope of the chain is so off its lifting
so where can I buy one, or do I make my own?
Wouldn't be hard to make one thats for sure. Some stainless plate, or aluminum plate, some good stainless bolts and the bow roller
Nice anchor. How do you get it out....excavator?
Ikr
spade.
Weld a loop on the back maybe and let a cable drag then you can reverse pull it out with your truck? But that means your truck has to go backwards into the same hole you were stuck in to pull on it...
LMFAO
with a shovel
Хороший якорь, великолепное решение
Smaller version for winches when no trees are around?
Exactly what I'm searching for. Here in S FL there's nothing but mangrove and Brazilian cherry bush. Nothing to winch on at all.
I'm very impressed. How hard would it be to retrieve a model 100 with out a windlass. Please let me know.
If you do not have a windlass you may want to look at our Aluminum Models. The a100 (aluminum) is 26lbs vs the s100 (galvanized) is 44lbs. The less weight the easier it will be to retrieve without a windlass.
Spade Anchor Thank you . I'm not worried about the dead lift I'm concerned about breaking it free. Thanks
why in the world is he just pulling it around? it is a recovery tool, correct? lets see it recovering a vehicle?
It is a boat anchor...
In spite of being a boat anchor it would work great for off road recovery but it costs $1180.80. That might be reasonable for boat anchors but you could get two pull pals for that and have change left over.
Looking at your website, if the Steel S40 is strong enough to winch a vehicle out of the sand and mud you could expand your market if you wanted to.
We have an off road anchor in development, I will update you when its ready for release.
@@SpadeAnchor has it been released?
Seems like every anchor manufacturer on youtube has a video of their anchor outperforming everyone else's anchor...
yah it seems
Yup
its good if you stuck in sand , use you winch to pull your truck
great video. Used the Spade A100 for 2 seasons now. It works well. Best I have used. It does set instantly and firmly. It shines over other anchors when the wind/tide/current shifts and the boat's direction changes. It stays put. Most anchors pull out, and can't reset due to flukes being clogged. Being a dished design, it is somewhat self clearing. Its strong suit also makes it a bit harder to recover when it does set real well/deep. No windlass on our boat. sometimes takes a few minutes to break it free. It may be expensive, but it is worth it. Most anchors will set fine. What separates the spade from the rest is it's resetting ability when the wind/tide/current changes and the anchor has to change direction. Great engineering with this anchor. The aluminum version proves that you do not need a heavy anchor to perform well. The 26# aluminum spade A100 on our bow far outperforms our old 35# CQR by a landslide
