Pete Smith: Tonight on the World’s Richest Quiz, The Millionaire Champions battle it to prove one and for all who has the greatest ability! In the Ultimate test of knowledge and speed for the chance to win an Alfo Romeo Spider and $100,000 cash. All on Australia’s Premier Quiz the Semifinals of the Millionaire Challenge on Sale of the New Century!! And Ladies and Gentlemen Glenn Ridge.
Goddamn it - I knew the Che Guevara question... I know just how much the 9 Network wanted to differentiate from the original version but it has its good points - the camera shot 31:26 - 31:34. There also sounds like an added underscore in that track that actually works very well. I'm gonna leave the intro because I know not that many people like it. I do (not the logo though) and the Fastest Finger First win music could be improved but overall its being sped up is tolerable. It's very different. That's why you can tell it's Australia's version.
You almost did not even make the hotseat. You beat Andrea Sherko by just 0.01 of a second. The closest you could have gotten without going to a tiebreaker. I hope you enjoyed your $125,000.
That first guy mentioned before the game started, Brett Macdonald, would tragically be killed in a car crash five months later, in the car that he bought with his Millionaire winnings.
+Tubewings I had to google that to make sure that wasn't a troll comment (cause I've seen a LOT like that in other game show videos). WOW!!! It just goes to show that sometimes money can change your life the worse rather than for the better.

Yeah, he died less than 6 months after appearing on the show in a car crash. Ironically, in the same car he bought with his winnings.
@@avengedsoul6661 Now that you mentioned it, there was an article about in either Woman’s Day or New Idea. Can’t remember which one.
Very proud that this is my mathematics teacher :))

Why people put A and C, I will never know...
So they don't skew the results with a wild guess. They're doing the contestant a favor.

Quite the performance, Rick. You seemed to be blazing through most of these questions you answered. A+.
This is not Sale of the Century, it's Who wants to be a Millionaire. Loves the ads though, brings back memories from those old days.
