I don't think Lee's book is the best source to go to on this subject. I know it's widely popular, but this is really an academic issue and Lee does not really go into that in the way that is really needed. It's much much more complicated than Lee lays out in the book. You're relying for example, a lot on the Gospels being eyewitness accounts from authors who strived to record accurate history. But we don't actually know that. That is the claim, but the evidence for that claim? That is where it falls short for me if you look into it. The truth is we don't know who the authors were. The Gospels themselves don't tell us who wrote them. It's Church tradition that ascribes the names to the Gospels that we have today, not the Gospels themselves. This is just a really complicated subject and Lee does not at all do it justice. For example, Luke does make historical errors. He gets some things right, and he gets other things wrong. The census he talks about in the birth narrative. We know this did not happen. That it was really just a way to get Jesus born in Bethlehem. And that's always bothered me to be honest. It just so complicated it turns out. But stating the claims of the Bible as proof of the claims in the Bible just doesn't really work. Not for the Koran or any other Holy Book, and not for the Bible either. We just have to be honest here and not overstate our evidence.

some thoughts Have you ever wondered why Jesus does not appear to be in Chapter 4 of the Book of Revelation? Let's look at Heb 1:3 "The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being". Now, the emerald is the stone of the tribe of Judah in the breastpiece of the high priest. You will find this to be true in the KJV, not in the NIV or the NASB. However, the Jewish historical societies all agree that the emerald is the stone of the tribe of Judah. Notice that the rainbow encircles the throne. No one comes to the Father except throught the Son. Note that the rainbow is not mentioned in Chapter 5. However when the elder refers to the Lion of the tribe of Judah do you think he was looking at the rainbow? When John then looks he sees a Lamb looking as if it had been slain. Remember God the Father is represented in Chapter 4 as one sitting on the throne. The Holy Spirit is represented as seven lamps before the throne. Do you think that Jesus is represented by the rainbow encircling the throne?

I watched the live stream of WFB's service this morning, March 29, and it was excellent; almost as good as being in church. Pastor St. John gave an excellent sermon on Revelation chapter 2 and 3. Well done!
