We've had a natural product that kills over 20 types of cancer cell while leaving healthy cells unharmed since the 1950s. Are there not any grant programs for drugs that are for great social benefit and not for profit?

There has been a major omission to the history of the DP. No mention was made of Waynflete Professor of Chemistry, Professor Sir Jack Baldwin FRS (b. 1938 - d. 2020) for his definitive work on penicillin synthesis and biosynthesis from 1978 to 2005, as well as modernisation when he first arrived. He was a kind man, who was very thorough in his work.
