Merry Tibbs Eve and Merry zchristmas from all of us in Newfoundland!!!
Good to hear from you all the way out there, Merry Christmas from Ontario ! 🎄
My childhood
WOW how did you find this?????? Only ever heard this on CKLH-FM Hamilton Ontario. AFTER the flip from K-Lite to BOUNCE. But it was nowhere to be found online. The online playlist link directed me to BJ Thomas version, not Ian Thomas loooool. Even though it was this version, Ian thomas that played on the radio. It's a really good take on Gene Autry's 1949 recording! Now here's another challenge. Find this song: "Coming Home for Christmas Time" by One to One. (The group that did the classic "Angel in my pocket".) That one doesnt even have a link and is nowhere to be found online. Another that only plays on CKLH-FM. Soundhound, by the way, does NOT recognize either of the two Christmas songs mentioned in this comment. GREAT find! And what a shame CKLH stopped doing 24/7 Christmas music after changing from K-Lite to BOUNCE...

See the sun in the sky Always riding high At christmas time down under It will be no surprise Temperature will rise At christmas time down under This is a festive time And we have no rain Santa is dressed up fine Here he comes again At the time and the place They come face to face At christmas time down under Doesn't seem quite the same Playing winter's game in the sun The only snow we have is on our christmas tree The southen cross is not the nothern star We like to make believe We hear those jingle bells It doesn't really matter where we are We can look to the sky And see the reason why It's christmas time down under It's so wide,it's so blue You'd see the reason too At christmas time down under The world seems the wrong way round Someone made it so Someday we're up side down Ask the man who knows! It's his birthday today He came here to stay At christmas time down under It's "up over" for me "down under" when i see Clear blue sky!
I'm not religious by any means, but I do really, really, enjoy this. I listen to it a few times every year.
Your Christmas radio station will play this version of the song. Sounds pretty good
Thank you. Thank you. I couldn't find this online anywhere and I don't have a cd player around for Christmas this year.
Thanks for posting this song. Edward Bear was a big part of my life growing up. Larry Evoy has the most heartbreakingly beautiful voice and I have never heard this song.
Oh.😀😃🙂
Surely if you have this you must have the other tracks from keeping a Canadian Christmas like hoodoo mcfiggins christmas by don harron.... I have been looking for it for years
Don Harron and Catharine McKinnons Keeping a Canadian Christmas from 1991. I'm on the lookout for it. And will definitely get that posted. A Very good find for sure.

In 1973, Mr Tony Bennett was 47 years old. he'd been through his own dark times, & he understood this music completely. RIP, Mr Bennett. We love you forever. -----------------------MJL, 76 y/o
This is such an overwhelming & sad song----------only Mr Tony Bennett could EVER have done it justice. No one else----------no one. -----------------MJL, 76 y/o
I had a chance to meet Toy Bennet in an Indianapolis when he was signing one of his prints (on shopping bags of all things) in early 90s. When I finally got to him (the line was long) this is the song I told him I loved the most. I still have the bag, of course. 6:18
Thanks so much for this! It was on my list to find for a long time and I had not searched for it in about three years! What a pleasant surprise!
