Praeludium in D Major, BuxWV 139, Dietrich Buxtehude
Просмотров 8718 лет назад
A wonderful example of the North German organ school and Stylus Phantasticus, this piece is a 7-part fantasy, including 2 sections which seem to call for alternating between registers, a fugue, and a few short interludes before the grand finale. Performed as a postlude to a Sunday service by organist Dan Campolieta and captured live on a long shot camera at National Presbyterian Church in Washi...

Tierce en Taille, by François Couperin - Dan Campolieta, organ

The tender and beautiful Tierce en Taille movement from Couperin's Messe des Paroisses (Messe à l'Usage Ordinaire des Paroisses pour les Fêtes Solennelles). This movement of the Gloria replaced the text "Qui tollis peccáta mundi, súscipe deprecatiónem nostram" (you take away the sins of the world, hear our prayer). This was audio recorded live during a presentation of the entire Messe des Paroi...

Toccata in F Major, BWV 540 Johann Sebastian Bach Dan Campolieta, organ Recorded live at Asylum Hill Congregational Church, Hartford, CT April 3, 2013 www.dancampolieta.com The longest of Bach's extant organ preludes, there is some question as to when this piece was actually composed, and if indeed it should be coupled with the Fugue in F Major, BWV 540/2, which is not nearly as grand and compl...
great performance.
Брависсимо!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nicely played! I always like playing this piece for Easter over Widor.
c'est SUBLIME , bien joué , .... Bravo ..... COUPERIN Merci à Vous Monsieur .....
Excellente Intréprétation , Merci à Vous ........ COUPERIN Mon Amour , formidable , et Merci .....
Tell me a better composer than Bach. Please. From Buxtehude to Mozart, where can you find? I haven't found him yet and I've listened to thousands of recordings from history. Bach is pure genius, he was one of a kind and his greatness overshadows any contemporary composer by MILES.
Bravo! Thank you.
One of my favortie pieces, played brilliantly
Love this organ piece!
Nice bro
Ferbuleltz
A canonical rendition, absolutely superb. A magnificent instrument played well.
Absolutely amazing! This is real music.....thanks for this!
molto buona questa musica per organo . quanti musici in el undo adesso.
WOW, WHAT GORGEOUS TECHNIQUE. IT IS LUSH, VIBRANAT AND PACED FOR PLEASURE AND GRANDEUR. THIS IS MY FAVORITE VERSION. EVERY PHRASE FEELS NORMAL AND IN THE EXACT RIGHT PLACE. THIS IS MY FAVORITE ORGAN GENIUS.
I’ve listened to a lot of performances of this work on RUclips and most are either slogs or speed races. This performance is right on the money for me tempo wise. Driving yet not overly so. The technique is superb and the registration amazing. Applause to Mr. Campolieta.
Prelude, Xenia, and Felicitas...
Best performance on RUclips. Better than any other by the most well known performers. Genius.
I agree, not too fast, nor too slow.
Incredible!
That pedal point is amazing!
I was thinking that, too, as I listened. What a piece and what a performance!🌟
Still the best interpretation of BWV 540 on YT!
6:37
3:27
Magnificent, superbly played Maestro
Absolutely stunning performance. Majestic! This is one of the first organ works I heard. Thanks to the progressive rock group Emerson, Lake and Palmer who uses this as a basis for the song Hymn - The Only Way from the album Tarkus (1971) It even comes with lyrics and vocals. Any way that song made me curious about organ music. I never looked back.
Fantastic! What make of organ is that?
これだぁ〜、ずっと探してたやつ〜!!
I can't remember if I have left a comment on this video before but have seen it many times and I love how you play this fantastic piece of Bach!😁👍👏👏👏👏 I now also subscribe your RUclips channel!👍
Very good interpretation of this toccata, the organ has a lovely tone to it. You should definitely do more of the Bach on this one.
Как же здорово! Мастер с большой буквы!
Excuse me? Fugue not as grand and complex as the toccata? What an ignorant statement. This performance is incredible though, I can imagine Bach himself playing with such fluidity.
Only 1571 viewings over 8 years. God, how can this be possible ?
*WELCOME TO ONE OF THE BEST RENDITIONS OF BWV540 EVER ON RUclips.* And trust me : I love that 540 and I have heared _tons_ of it. _Actually, tons_ including accordion or orchestral covers, Power Biggs, Carpenter and other MC Allain rendtions, and v.Hoef, and v.Doeselaar, and Latry, and Chapuis, and so many.... The tempo, the registration and the overall way of playing that masterpiece : *everything is top notch* here. Hats down. I kneel.
Ditto! I agree 🎶
Another good performance. I am probably the most-frequent listener to your great Bach Toccata in F video. I hope you put out more. I like hearing and playing this Buxtehude piece. I put one up myself of his great Fugue in F 157. Thanks for your music.
Masterful performance, Dan! May we hear of your artistry in the future. Good work by your videographer, as well. Timely shifts to your feet to show your awesome pedal technique!
Кольцо снимать необходимо. Исполнено произведение мастерски. Спасибо!
Fantastic!
Really astronomiclperformance. The most exciting page turning ever seen. Sheer genius!
Just hearing the first half second I know that you, the organ and the tempo are pure gold. Sure I will now hear it all!
I love the tempo often played much too fast.
Faster and you would miss the enharmonic way-ahead-of-its-time transition to D flat, Mozart copies this in the Jupiter, Mvt 4, about 66% of the way through
Why F sharp in pedal in 1:37? I've seen other organists do that too. But in my score it says G, which also seems more logical to me.
I believe the Bärenreiter edition has the F# to G and other editions have just G.
For me the F# note represents Bach taking us down into the less-in-tune depths in the pedal solo from which we rise to realization. But the edition I have from Dupre also says G. I think the F# to G is correct.
Giovane molto talentuoso, interpretazione sontuosa .E si gira le pagine dello spartito da solo!
Bach sure didn't fuck around. Excellent playing and touch. One of the best interpretations I've heard, and I've heard a few. Well done!
A wonderful performance, full of life and fire ! Tremendous accents ! A masterful job of playing ! As for the 32' reed, Bach almost never performed on an instrument that had one. But, if he did have one, if it had no dead notes, if it was in tune, and if it had sufficient wind supply ... granted, a lot of "ifs" ... it's a pretty safe bet that he would have found a use for it, as with the final chords of 540. A dazzling performance Dan ! Give us more !
I’m longing for another organ upload!
You're the best! Thank you for your performance!
The organist has a noticeably long head from crest to forehead !
Dan, I keep coming back to your video, which is one of the best in describing the uses the augmented scale can be put to. I feel I need to know the musical theory as to why it 'works'. For example you play the C augmented scale over A minor7. The scale has the minor third but not the flat 7 so why does this work?! (you are playing the guide tones in your left hand so maybe the notes are all there and the scale is giving mainly extensions).
7 years later, I get to listen to this. It is totally magnificent, Dan! Well done.
Turned off immediately with the doll. Come on this isn’t a piece you mess with.
