DTA - Diesel Tune Australia

DTA CRD-Flash tuning is THE state of the art way of improving both power and torque for modern common rail diesel engines. By re-calibrating the factory engine computer unit (ECU) we are able to optimize the engine power and torque output. to achieve real world average gains of 25% more power and 25% more torque.
Reprogramming the vehicles ECU has a number of advantages not the least is that we retain all of the manufacturers inbuilt safety features as we are not altering the ECU’s main functions.
The process typically requires the vehicle to be at the workshop for a period of one day, where our specialist tuners prepare the vehicle on the dyno for a baseline run. The vehicle is then connected to our state of the art ECU reading and writing hardware. We then closely monitor & adapt the parameters to safely maximise performance.
Each customer is typically provided with an individual base and final dyno run graph which displays gains in both power and torque for comparison.

What did it make stock
I don’t know why this engine is being bagged. We tow a 23 foot caravan all over, it’s done 140,000 klm and has never missed a beat. Intend to lap Australia next year and have great faith in it. Being a diesel it never needs to be revved over 2500 revs as that’s where it’s power is. It’s actually a VW engine and would never bother about remapping as this is just asking for trouble. So the people picking on these engines have no idea how to drive a diesel or have abused them.🇦🇺
Its a Ford engine not VW. It was designed by Ford of Europe for Landrover and Jaguar cars because they were owned by Ford at the time. They were all so found in Peugeot and Citroens due to a joint venture with Ford. The Terriotory was the only Ford model to use the 2.7 V6. The new 3.0 Ford Rangers are an updated version of this engine now found in the new VW Amarok too. (Has nothing in common with the old VW Amarok V6)
Its a Peugeot engine not a vw. Ford and PSA have some sort of agreement that ford uses Peugeot diesel engines since ford doesnt want to design one themselves.

Mine certainly wasn‘t unreliable… 220,000km and only ever had to replace 1 injector!
My Father had an EB Fairmont Ghia which ran on a primitive early 90s LPG system. The Odometer stopped working at 248000 kms. About 6 years later in 2009 after years of neglect the car went from Sydney to the Gold Coast without missing a beat. The inline six Falcon is very strong. Needing only basic mechanical modifications in the turbo engines to make stratospheric power and torque figures
@@lachlanbrown409 back in 2005 I had a BA XT Falcon as a company car. I drove from Mudgee to Katoomba (a distance of about 160 regional kilometres) without the oil cap on with no problem whatsoever (by accident of corse). By the time that car was 4 years old it had 235,000km and it never missed a beat! However I then got a brand new XR6 that went through 2 transmissions in 3 years 😂 the other fords I’ve had (diesel Territory, and 3.2L Ranger) have been faultless!
Two Falcon stories. I bought an ED11 sedan dual fuel. Had it for two years, at 218,000km, fixed head gasket due to damaged belt not driving pump. Gave it to my brother. He had it 4 years. At 420,000km, the odo stopped working. He drove it for another year, then off to the wreckers.(seaside living does that to cars). I was in an AU Taxi as it clocked over 500,000km and was told it was not 12 months old!😮

I'm confused, this has a 2.8 Duramax engine right? The same one designed by VM Motori? So why can you not tune it to the same specs as a Chevrolet Colorado with the same engine? I'm getting 159 kw and 505nm torque with my 2.8 duramax in a Holden Colorado..
