After all Carmilla is their arms dealer pal and therefore, when done right, can be made out to be very important to the overlords. They aren’t the same thing, but the overlords do have the potential to operate like a mafia family, where yes, you can have alliances, you could be great buds with one particular mafia group, but one wrong move and you could be dead, and one right move and you could gain a new ally.

I’m so confused why heaven was the antagonist this season and not the V’s. I forget what it’s called but the escalation of stakes makes no sense! I would think the V’s would make more sense to be the antagonists the first season and then build up to the more dire threat

Honestly what I want is for the characters in this show to get real accountability for their actions. Bojack shows us that even though a person had a tragic life it does not justify terrible actions. Todd’s “it’s you” speech tells us that. Because a lot of characters in Hazbin get way to much sympathy for how much they did in their past life to end up in hell.

I loved the pilot more than the show. The main reason that keeps me watching the show is the voice actors. It ain't their fault the writing is bad. They just happen to be working on a series with bad writing. Not to mention, there are so many plot holes. If they had more time on the episodes(possibly 30 mins) then maybe the show would be better. 23 minutes isn't long enough for what they have planned. So, everything feels so rushed

I really love how your rewrite adds those "stepping blocks" the original story's structure lacked. By that I mean developing certain things beforehand so that later plots make more sense, and so they flow/connect more easily. For example, the rewrite with Alastor's true intentions with Charlie (making an example out of Mimzy instead of what was done in the original episode), that shows a more clear dynamic than what we have so far. Your rewrite actually builds up plots and intertwines them together versus how the show just plops down storylines randomly! Great work, hoping the best for you and your channel! :)

people saying is rushed is dumb,cause amazon and a24 only allowed 8 episodes while viv wanted like 15 or 20 episodes for season 1,so I don't think it's rushed at all,amazon's the one hey we have this weird 8 episodes only rule ,*shrugs* also so what if the show isn't perfect,there's no such thing as perfection,courage the cowardly dog taught me that when I was a kid XD I do like this,I'm so used to videos changing things around for cartoons,it's always intresting what they're take would be

I really liked your rewrite pitch and that you worked with the episode length and used a lot of what the show gave already. I agree that it really desperately needed more context for the world and more depth for the main couple, as well as .. everything else.. I think seeing alastor/velvette work together would have been very exciting and given them more purpose for her showing up in that episode too and i dont think its that much of a stretch! Seems like something alastor would end up agreeing to is velvette asked him first. Its a lot longer of a series, but id also be curious of your rewrite of Helluva Boss (the sister show to hazbin hotel) which honestly needs a rewrite too, but for different reasons. Anyway, have a good one and i look forward to more videos!!

I love Hazbin, but I really wanted Bojack Horseman in Hell with the show focusing on REAL character arcs instead of "sinners can't be redeemed because of Heaven, not their own flaws!". Also- TOO MANY CHARACTERS. Heaven could have been a great cliffhanger for season 2 Also: I love your changes!!!

I think what is quite important to add to this is, since your main change would just be taking more time, that the original plan for the season was 13 episodes (including the pilot) with the Lucifer Episode being the 9th. the last 4 were sadly not in those resurfaced episode pitches viv posted on tumblr (I think) but it's not an unfair assumption to say that Episode 10 would be "Welcome to heaven" and 13 then the extermination because those 8 pitches do follow what we got except with a bit more space. So the pacing problem definitely comes from A24's side (and them only ordering 8 episodes in total) and not from "bad" planning on the creative side. Now because your idea put Welcome to heaven" as the finale I do have my own thoughts to share here too. I agree with the fact that "You didn't know" is essentially the last number of act 1 but having it as the end of the season would leave such a bitter taste i think. Because all those open plot-threads you now have in your version are part of specifically the character arcs of season 1 so not finishing them would feel really unsatisfactory I think (you cannot set up an early extermination and then not end the season with that and especially not start the next season with it). Especially since you did take the time in your version to answer some things that imo are more of larger mysteries or stuff you just don't necessary need to explain this early. That said, with the full 13 episodes I think it would have been enough time to fit all of that into the first season. I also really love the show and especially through knowledge like this it just makes all the small issues the show has so insignificant for me because they just weren't certain if they'd get more so they had to make do with the 8 episodes they got and I am certain with the knowledge that they're getting more now they are able to slow down a bit and let the story breathe. I think a big sign that they're doing this is also the fact that Hazbin originally had a 4 season plan and now Viv is rather talking about doing 6 seasons. Assuming they're all gonna be 8 episodes that means they're now accounting for that and spreading the story a bit further out

This video was absolute fire! Although I do have a few tips that could help you out a bit. Balance the audio a bit and make sure your mic isn't peaking. To boost your video in peoples feeds try adding a bunch of tags in the description. I have a channel (not this one) and that really helped me at the start. Personal prefrence but maybe add some quiet backround music? It just adds a bit more depth. Honestly I was surprised to see you had so few subscribers! Keep it up man!
