Oh this hurts my heart-- I love these two so much. Adventure *got* complex sibling relationships, whether it was Tai and Kari or Matt and TK (even Davis and June and Ken and Sam, even though Sam is *physically* absent, he exists looming large in Ken's heart) and this vid really captures how Tai feels about Kari and how Kari *reacts* to how he feels. She's stubborn in her support of him but will get frustrated when he tries to pull the "I'm older, I know better" bullshit, because they were *together* for a lot of their time in the Digital World. It's because she's his light, and so much of why he keeps going in Tri especially, is *for* her. The way the Digital World carelessly uses her as a meat puppet clearly scares him as well because it's something they *still* don't understand, and it's completely out of his control--which for any older sibling is terrifying. And I often wonder whether he ever got over, or came to believe her being sick as a kid really wasn't his fault: if she really was that sick, her mom leaving a *window* open would have had the same effect as Tai urging her to play with him outside. That's always been one of the most heartbreaking things that happened between them and it clearly informs Tai's entire personality well into adulthood. Anyway, this was so, so well done and brought out all my Feels for these two.
