Автор романса - Николай Романович Бакалейников (1881-1957) В 1900 окончил Окончил Московскую консерваторию по классу флейты. Работал дирижером и хормейстером в театральных труппах Москвы и Санкт-Петербурга (1900-1905), солистом оркестра Большого театра (1905-1919), участвовал в «Русских сезонах» С. Дягилева в Париже (1910).
С 1914 по 1919 г. служил капельмейстером военных оркестров в Москве. Как композитор Н. Р. Бакалейников известен своими произведениями для духового оркестра, концертными пьесами и переложениями для духовых инструментов, обработками народных песен и романсами. За чарующий взгляд искрометных очей

Su voz de contratenor es muy significativa, se diferencia perfectamente de otras mas tipicas y femeninas, la suya tiene un poso de profundidad y verdad, un volumen, legato y nitidez difícil de encontrar. De los mejores sin duda.
