Camcorders are awesome!!! I love the simplicity f them. I have a larger one, a Sony AX53 which feels a bit obtrusive in some situations so when I want to be more inconspicuous I use my Sony X3000 action camera which is really just a very small camcorder.

And you DID NOT MENTIONED the MP4 format!? You did not explain the difference of file format between the AVCHD vs the XAVC S HD. The later is much better because it is in MP4 format.
