Found out the hard way, after ordering 2 bottles of K&C plus 15$ shipping that only water based peel off can be used on top of an overlay or any products really. All these curable gel peel offs are good for natural nails only. 😢

Makartt is not easy to remove but cuticle oil can help. Jello Jello peel off and One Kill Remover is great. It takes two to three minutes to remove all 10 nails. I’ve used it a lot. I can’t get K&C to work ☹️☹️☹️ I need to rewatch the methods video, but I think I did 3. Dehydrated, primed the whole nail, regular base, peel off base, nails attached with thick rhinestone gel, then polis and topcoat. It was black with silver cat eye and sheer jelly over it, so there were a lot of layers as the black has to go on super thin or it bubbles. A few days later I wasn’t happy with the main (I rushed it) and tried removal. I used my thin ceramic bit to remove the extra gel and remove the cap. Next, I sat down with hot water and soaked while putting pressure on the tips. Nothing moved. I kept reheating and pressing for 20 minutes. I even used way too hot to be comfortable water and they didn’t move. I ended up using my file and acetone. I was so bummed because I blew $50 on the K&C (bought 2). I’m going to try stepping down to method two and I might try using the base as tip glue on one nail. So far, Jello Jello is my hero.

Makartt destroyed my nails!! Never again. I have a born pretty peel off but since that incident, ive been to scared to use it..anyone here used born pretyy & is it any good? Ive heard jello jello is another good one, but for now i just use unt peel off in the center

Coming late to the party, this was very informative, thank you! I have a question about method 3, what do you do about the bottom gel base after peeling off the peel-off base? As it's a regular gel base coat I assume it needs soaking to take off? Do you keep it on and do another peel of coat on top of it? Or does it come off as well with the peel off base?

question about the peel off base. I like to take long hot showers (15 mins) and I wash my hair every day, will that loosen the base coat?

SO far- your videos have stuck with me the most-. Scrub like you spilled koolaid on a carpet and your mom is havin a dinner party....you made me laugh .. But i hear you every time i put acetone in my tip-... I am one of the few people Who have an issue... My nails are almost concave....ive tried natural apres... una gella.. i make them °work° but bubbles always find a way... i ordered some orly builder gel... do you think id have better luck doing tips and building a nail..? . its taking me so damned long to do these extensions.... to the point of crying. lol ive tried almost every glue or builder gel... so anyway maybe nobody will see this. but finding anything about flat nails is almost impossible. youtube always shows me videos for Wide instead of flat no matter how i word it.

When you didn't have enough gel on it and you said "wipe your nail clean" what do you mean? We use an alcohol wipe? Do we add primer again?

I have Makartt and it works like a dream for me. As long as I don't get any on my cuticles (causes lifting when my nails grow out), they stay on as long as I want them to. I usually change my manicure every week and they peel right off with an orange stick. I just bought the Vettsy peel off base as well so I'm going to give that one a try.
