Holyfield understands suffering. He once described three rounds in a ring like having a fifty point chain put over his neck and treading water for three minutes. He took all those shots from Tyson, like he was at work, back then. Hearing him talk about it, though, he must have been borderline panicked the whole fight.

On the whole Mike didn't play the hype/disrespect game. A true warrior. Those who lost to him were no less warriors, but they were inferior, and that's nothing to be ashamed of

Foreman was all wrong for Tyson. Tyson threw faster, but Foreman had too much mass and power.

All these people that say tyson was a great guy, well lets have a look shall we....hes a rapist, woman beater, alcoholic, drug user, mugger, robber, liar, cheater, thug, bully, foul mouth, assaults people outside the ring, doesn't pay his debts when he buys jewellery, match fixing, crap dad....I could go on....and as a boxer he was all hype and got his arse kicked whenever he faced a real boxer that wasn't either old or a complete bum or someone that was bought and bribed to take a dive or throw the fight in some way.

I love all 3 Toney Holyfield and Tyson..but I think Evander speaking Real here..asmuch as i truly think Toney oneof the best Boxers of his era period i cant see him having the power to bother a prime Tyson ..Holyfield met Tyson at the perfect moment and fought Tyson when his peak had passed Holyfield was an awesome Boxer with decent power and a great heart and chin..the same could be said of Toney but Tyson wouldve bulldozed through him he beat Holyfield and could withstand big punches but i really think a lot of people truly underestimate how devastating peak Tyson was with his speed combination punches and elusiveness,Mike at his best was an awesome Boxer ..just watch what boxers who actually experienced fighting and sparring with him actually say..and yes he was his own worst enemy firing Rooney was one of the biggest mistakes he made in his life

Ali was also a bit careless with his money and a slave to fame and attention. The need to maintain a certain lifestyle coupled with the lure of celebrity may have kept him fighting longer than he should have. He is mostly responsible for the way his life turned out.
