Yes & No… This was taken on a Weekend G.O back in December when 2 trains were split in sections.

Many R160s based out of Jamaica yard (The E train’s home), suffered from severe flat wheels so 2 sets of R179 were in place for the E. This also resulted in R68/As being temporarily loaned to the G line.

@@ericbreedlove580 They do, it’s just that multiple R68s and R68As from Concourse & Coney Island Yards were temporarily loaned to G due to majority of Jamaica Yard R160s suffering from major flats.

@@ericbreedlove58063rd Street Tunnel work was done poorly, such as uneven track gauges in some areas, poorly installed tracks & rails and bent tracks and etc.. leading to R160s to suffer a series of flat wheels.

theoretically: canarsie-broadway junction via L broadway junction-barclays center via J and R/nassau whitehall connection barclays center to 145th street via D 145th street to 207th street yard via A 207th street yard to 1 train connection or with a diesel, there’s a connection at livonia and junius, that could just go via the 1/2/3

I remember they had the R62AS on the 3 Broadway line before the R62AS went to the 7 Flushing line for a replacements of the old Redbirds. Now the R62S from the Jerome Ave 4 line that's on the 3 Broadway line had to replace the R62AS from the 1 6 lines.
