Solveig - Club Juggling and Singing Act by Verena Rau
A unique blend of juggling and classical singing
As a multi-talented artist, Verena feels at home in more than one genre. In her act "Solveig" she merges juggling and classical singing. With elegant movement and her smooth soprano voice, Verena calls the clubs towards herself at the beginning in order to join everything together to create a whole new experience. She sings Edvard Grieg's aria "Solveigs Sang" from the "Peer Gynt Suite", where she portrays Solveig as a strong character who is full of longing but also tells a story about her home. It's a poetic piece that takes viewers to the Norwegian woods and lets them dream.

Verena Rau is the current German Champion in Technical Juggling with Clubs and many of the tricks of her winning routine are in this act. Filmed at Tollhaus Karlsruhe by Anton Kramer. If you want a solid tip, there's a good one for your 4 and 5 club juggling: Concentrate on keeping your elbows close to the body!! Everytime you move your elbows forward you lose precision and waste a lot of energy.

GREAT! so many perfectly composed shots with excellent backgrounds, and cuts timed so nicely to the music! I can't decide which bit of your awesome juggling here is my favorite (love the flat Boston Mess and the contrasting-height 4 ball multiplex!) but I think maybe the nicest is your juggling in glasses (how the hell do you manage that?) with all the birds flying by behind you:) <3

SUPER! Was fuer eine coole Idee UND so schoen gemacht! I am so jealous because I can't do flats (except basic cascade) and I love the look of 4 and the Mess patterns in flats! but you also put SO much personality into your location changes and the bloopers at the end. And what a nice idea for music! Sharing:)
