Aquarium For Beginners - ADDING SHRIMP & SNAILS
Просмотров 191Месяц назад
As I’ve already used Cycled Filtration and Hardscape from Other Tanks I Have, I am able to add a Small Group Of Shrimp and Snails that I’ve had in other Tanks. If your Aquarium was started with all new hardscape and Filtration then This Part of the process May be a few weeks in from the Initial Setup, it will Soon Fly By! In the Meantime, Take photos of the plants every few days and compare fro...

Roseline Shark (Denison Barb) Care Guide
Beautiful - i think i will give this a try!
Looks great. Come across your channel watched and liked so i subscribed. Thanks for sharing
@@markfranklin8831 much appreciated Thankyou! 👍
What I have been unsuccessful with is finding a video on what is the best way to collect the shrimp that were removed from the aquarium when removing shrimp to sell or when removing floating plants , servicing a filter and especially a large filter . Also I know that I can't see EVERYTHING but many videos never mention it , also pre filters can really be a problem with the baby shrimp if it's not the right PPI , more than a fee start to explore and have been trapped in the sponge . Hopefully you can make a 3rd video and I'll be watching 🩵💚💙
Thanks for sharing, definitely things to consider! 😊
I Hope you Found this video useful and by all means add any other hints and tips for beginners below! 😁 Also Please Don’t Panic about the Frozen Fish (smelt) in the 30 Gallon Aquarium, I sometimes feed this as a few of the Plecos seem to enjoy it, anything uneaten goes into my Larger aquariums and the larger fish normally hoover up what is left 😀
You have a very easy to listen to voice, dont be discouraged by youtube views it takes quite a long time to become an established youtuber I hear 🐟😎
@@lostmangos thanks Much Appreciated! Yeah it’s a slow road but I’ll try to stay consistent with the content and be honest 👍
@@AB-Aquariums My one tip would be dont burn yourself out to produce content, alot of aquarist RUclipsrs put a lot of pressure on themselves and end up burning out after a while, have seen at least half a dozen of them saying the same thing. Have a good weekend!
@ Thankyou for the advice! I’ll bare that in mind 😊
Didn’t know David Beckham was a hobbyist 🤣
Ive been told I look like him a few times before and I can’t see the resemblance! 😂
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Nice!! Im looking to breed Habrosus Corys asap…. I have just 2 and they are hard to find in my area. Love the setup!
They’re a great little Cory for smaller tanks, hopefully you can track some down 👍
Good advice 👍 love your tank 👍
@@paulkishazi9064 much appreciated Thankyou, it’s 8ft by 30” front to back by 24” high, so around 300 US gallons 👍
Seeding both the soil substrate and the water column with leaves, twigs, and other detritus from a pond, lake, stream, or river will expand your biodiversity multiform as well as instantly cycle your tank.
@@kinglyzard love it! Definitely something to consider with a new Ecosystem Aquarium 👌
@AB-Aquariums A trick I learned from Father Fish. I have a tank that was cycled before it was 2 wks out
Great advice. Thanks for sharing
@@markfranklin8831 Much Appreciated 👍
Love your video, definitely looking forward to seeing more!
@@StopDCTyranny Thankyou, will be trying to get content out every week 👍
New tank running for 2 months now i have live plants and floaters the occupants are 1 pleco 5 nirite snails 1 rams horn 3 harliquin rasbora and some guppy fry in about a week ill be adding 6 pygmy corydora and 10 trumpet snails and im planning on leaving it for 3 weeks before adding shrimp
@@rufusjean-baptiste sounds like an interesting mix, maybe add more harlequins to the school, reckon they’ll appreciate it! 😊
Great subject and completely agree 👍
@@pattys_aquatics Thanks for the Feedback 👍

soooo much less water changing as time goes.

Fully agree!
@@aquaenthusiast9185 Glad I’m making some sense! 😁
The best little hardscape I ever seen
I've been doing this for about 3 years, and i just got my first crayfish. Do you have any recommendations on fish and plants I can keep with him?
@@Unbanmejoe to be completely honest, I haven’t actually kept a Crayfish before, however I would say it may be a gamble keeping fish with it as it may go after them, however trying something quick that wouldn’t bother the crayfish and vice versa, maybe a group of danios might work, obviously and predatory fish that might go after the crayfish aren’t a good idea. I’d definitely recommend doing some further research online into Crayfish tank mates to see what might work, best of luck 👍
Just getting started with aquaculture and this video was very helpful, nice to get some broad information instead of very specific topics
@@brando851 Much Appreciated Thankyou, Enjoy creating little Slices of Nature 👍
That’s one ugly tank. I’m so sorry how would this be a reef.
@@jasonsanchez8044 Thankyou for your observation
It's a great aquarium. Did you propagate Kenyan trees by cutting and gluing, or was this a natural process of theirs?
Pieces tend to break off and they will float around the tank till they find a spot to stick to, so a pretty natural process!
That tank is insane! The width is just as impressive as the length! Looks cracking and loving the stocking so far. Will be looking out for all your updates on it 👍👌
@@robertsmith8795 Cheers Robert Much Appreciated!
Nice sized tank 🏆 Congrats I vote for some Mollys 😂
Cheers Bud! Got to love Molly's! Although not sure I'm gonna do live bearers this time though 🙂
@@AB-Aquariums all good , enjoy !
Love these fish ! I have 25 of them in my 8 foot by 2 foot by 2 foot 240 gallon. Some of mine are huge and my largest is 6 1/2 inches… I think even a 4 foot tank is really pushing it, but I hardly ever see them grow to more than 5 inches.
Wow I bet they look Epic in there! A 6.5" Roseline shark must be a fair thing to behold! 👍
How many tanks you have?
Currently 4, soon to be 5 when the new 6x2x2 tank arrives 👍
Did you try breeding your clown fish yet?
I havent to be honest bud, maybe another project to add to the list ay!
Woohoo salt water, that one tank i never started before.
Hi Ben Never too late to start 👌
@AB-Aquariums i'm shutting down part of the fishroom. 26 running aquariums was starting to be to much work. Maybe I'll use one of those tanks to start a marine aquariums.
@@BenAfricanCichlids yeah sometimes we go all in and can get to burn out stage ay, sometimes less tanks we can keep an eye on is the way to go unless breeding loads of fish of course ay
