Hawaii people sometimes speak a mixture of Hawaiian Pidgin and standard English , like me I guess . This video is about where we fished while in high school , about 1967 . Along time ago . By the way , my name is Gary Tsurumaki . My great-grandparents came to Hawaii in 1904 to work on sugar plantations . My Tsurumaki side came from Niigata and my mom's side , from Kumamoto . Hi again , Mihorin San . They are cherry blossoms brought from Okinawa a long time ago . People has been growing these in colder areas in Hawaii . Please google Wahiawa Hongwanji as you may be able to see them near the entrance to the parking area of the temple grounds .The small bird is indeed a white eye (Mejiro) Another transplant from either Japan or China . Overnight . just to dissolve the salt . I usually wait a day or two after that to let the vinegar soak in .
