I "think" it seems to be the engine had two options full on or full off by the stuff I've found about it. hence why he cut the power at speed

Lenticular wave is a horrible thing. I have some very simple rules I play by, if there is wind at all then I go higher. What are you flying?

@@TheOrangeGodOfTheSkies CT2K usually, hoping to but it end of season from instructor. In a 80bhp C42 currently at Conington as one of the other students bent the nose wheel.

The C42 is a very good and forgiving machine. My wife is learning at the moment in it. But its also really versatile for travelling. The sort of things I was doing in this video may seem a little slapdash but before we did them we made sure everything was right. Good luck with your course, don't give up!

I used an approved mod. I use 3M pads 1 to hold the camera and one with a backup metal wire in case the first fails. I do it as a part of the pre inspection to try and pull it off before I fly. I tried many ways prior to this but this is by far the 👌

@@TheOrangeGodOfTheSkies.... So one pad holds the camera. One pad just holds safety wire that loops through the camera? You wouldn't think that would hold in the wind. Any trouble found with that method?

Hi Mike, I have an odd relationship with the Skyranger. I can't think of a better one for short strip landings or maneuverability, it's a dream to fly but bouncy in thermals and has limited luggage which makes camping difficult. Some days I love it and the next I'm looking at Eurostars

Hi Jason Its a cracking strip in a fab location. The reception we received was top as well, there was a scant gathering but those who were there made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be back again, just maybe check the weather a bit better before flying across.

@@TheOrangeGodOfTheSkies Glad you enjoyed it Garry - our cafe is also very good (not quite Betty's but still very nice) and will reopen in the spring, it's normally open Fri-Sun and is lovely to sit on the balcony on a nice day watching the arrivals and departures. Best wishes, Jason.
