This is so crushing to watch now as Joe Skyward (on bass) & Darius Minwalla (on drums) have both passed to the great beyond. Such a powerful performance by the whole band.

It's been awhile since I thought about this & I hope I am remembering correctly. Willie's wife was a member of the Credit Union where my mom worked. Willie would occasionally come in when he was in town. When my mom told me this, I said mom you have GOT to get his autograph for me. I had a magazine featuring Willie so I gave it to her. Sure enough, she asked Willie to sign it and he did! This had to be...early 80s. So even tho I never met him, I have his autograph thanks to my way cool mom! 😎

This guy use to practice at my mom's house him and my uncle Carl Mc'Lamb ( they called my Uncle Nick a Dick ) they were in a gospel group together. We called him Junior back in the day. He came by the hospital to see my mom before she passed to show his respect for the past. He was raised by Mrs Ethel and Mr Jessie,, Willie Weeks was born in Salemburg, North Carolina.
