It's ridiculous to buy a guitar with the same damage as that of your idol. (Even mores so, the 'epic' treatment in general.) But it's interesting to see how battered it is. I compared it to actual photos. And what changes it has. I hadn't paid that attention to it before, just had noticed the neck pickup.

I own one of these . They never seem to come up for sale. My next one I have my late on from TPP is the Townshend gold top LP deluxe #3 . The news ones are too high for me now . Hope to find a second hand one soon!

Two excellent basses for the price point. And although I think you can still get a 5 string from Jackson of the white one, 4 strings are harder to find in the states. I have the white one and a olive drab, and the olive one is a satin finish and it’s actually a faster neck and a punchier, woodier tone than the white. The Jackenbacher is a great value and although many don’t take it seriously because of its looks, it has a variety of killer tones, from a barky Precision to the mid punch of a Spector. And it is a blast to play! Enjoyed the video. Cheers!

looks great, a super easy detail that you missed (or may have chosen to miss) is the white reversible strip of tape for the picks, it's on all footage and on the original, you should add that too :)

Nice work, Andrew. Here's an OCD-related question for you. Why do you have two screws in the quarter coin when there is only one in the 'museum' Frankenstrat? I ask because I added a quarter to my EVH and the only place I've seen two screws is in the 2007 Fender 25k custom shop build. Am I missing something? Cheers.

These mini toggle switches are accurate to Andy’s original Tele, as far as I can tell. The pics I’ve seen of the custom shop replica have paddle switches.

Looks really good. The Police were such an amazing band. Got better with each album. Sting wrote some great lyrics, even referencing Jung and Köestler (for ernest, arty types like me). That tele is one of the many famous instruments that has bags of character, history and mojo.

Great mods but feel like the tone knob should have stayed plastic to stand out. I don't think the shielding will make much of a difference.

How would you describe the colour in person? On camera it looks almost yellowish or is that the light? Some pics iv seen its really green (which I like) and in others it looks totally different

Thank you for sharing this with us. That exact model was hanging on the wall at a Guitar Center in the Los Angeles area about two years ago. I didn't pull it off the wall but I did strum the strings several times just to get a good feeling on the resonation and the overall feeling on the neck. Just from there it sounded really good. If I was not so broke it would have for sure come home with me.

I saw Frost support Marillion in carling academy around this time. Looks familiar. Excellent band.
