The show was really messy until the last 20 minutes or so (which were so beautiful and had me full crying). The 3 main actors were amazing (Eden included)

I don't think modernism was really about machine-based perfection. I think it was about overturning the old order, which itself had used machines to more efficiently kill the people in WWI. Overturning the old order included macine-based equality, production of things for the people. Perfection though?

This show really changed me. I think about it almost everyday. I hadn’t heard about Amber until Lempicka but I was so awestruck by her performance. The entire cast was phenomenal. I can’t wait until they’re all cast in most shows so I can continue to see them flourish.

It breaks my heart that I didn’t get to experience this duo. This iconic piece of theatre. I hope it gets reintroduced to the world soon, it’s too good to not be in the world. ❤

They almost had me, until the pop beat and the drums kick in. Sad musical theater feels it must compete with Lady Gaga. By the way, her name is pronounced "Limpintska" "C" in Polish is pronounced 'ts' one should do a modicum of research before presented a historical project.

I still find it insane that a show about a woman who's art is so associated with the JAZZ AGE was given a tacky, generic, screechy "contemporary" score instead of something more thematically appropriate for the period in which she primarily worked. Good riddance. The only people who like the "contemporary" sound are die-hard MT sadists, it's no surprise the show didn't find an audience.
