You lost me at 3 minutes, by stating that a DPM primarily use real time data. This is so far off the mark as companies that require dpm usually require value creation/extraction from static or historical data.

Apologies, I am preparing for PMP and was hoping to get some clarification on both of these roles as I come from construction background and get confused on PM role in software environment. Apart from this, the explanation didn't make sense to me because in this video PM is aligned with only using waterfall approach however its not true. The key aspect of being the project manager is to select which lifecycle works best for your project based on project complexity, schedule deadlines and requirements. My understanding is that you can work on multiple projects where you can be using waterfall, agile or hybrid approach. Can you please clarify for me if based on this video I should assume a project manager in software environment only uses waterfall approach? Doesn't seem right though as I have seen many questions in PMP exam where is has PM in agile environment working as facilitator.

The only product marketers working full time who earn good salaries, are those who work in organizations that value the product marketing role. The problem is most company leadership teams and C-suite are clueless as to what product marketing actually does, why they need it, and how it differs to a general marketing role. If you are a product marketer, you will make a lot more contracting if you are good, than working full time in a company.

Q5 is a touchy question: I would not directly talk about a specific company product due to the fact that many companies have indeed in the past taken the ideas and not hired the TPM and used the ideas for future products. ITs a touchy question.
