And affecting area with your fruit's ability is paramecia awakening and Luffy is a zoan. His main abilities not rubber, it was passive ability of Nika, main ability which he awakened is basically toon force or not exactly toon force, anyway what is the problem calling it toon force if it does basically same things? It's another representation of toon force. In anime Luffy also broke 4th wall by stopping time and waving at the audience. Mentioning of Tom and Jerry and how he wanted something similar in his manga is basically saying he wants toon force to be added. Is it so hard to comprehend? Or everything need to be spoonfed in order to be proven

@@rakimovich-361 So wait, you’re telling me that I should wait for an explanation about Blackbeard but you won’t do the same for Luffy supposedly having Toon Force? Sounds a bit hypocritical to me Also, Toon Force is not a real ability in fiction and it doesn’t grant Luffy anything by doing so. So I don’t understand the need to constantly argue that he does have it.

"He defies logic and can do whatever he wants", "more he laughs - stronger he gets" I guess defying logic and doing whatever you want is very different from toon force. And again, correlation with Tom and Jerry is basically saying "I want to add in my manga what Tom and Jerry cartoon has" and what it has? Toon force. If Luffy didn't become unbeatable the moment he obtained gear 5 doesn't mean it's not it. Luffy had gear 5 for how long? 1-2 days in one piece world? And used for like half an hour. He doesn't even know about his powers yet. But it's not hard to assume it's basically toon force. Okay not toon force but devil fruit ability that allows him to do what cartoon characters can do. Is it better? Oda might not go very far and make Luffy kicking planets like a soccer ball but it won't change that he will be a cartoon character with similar powers.

And like I already said, I don’t think Toon Force is a real phenomenon and Gear 5 being inspired by Tom and Jerry doesn’t really indicate that either. I would agree that Luffy’s DF evidently has more to it than just rubber. But saying it’s the result of Toon Force is essentially saying it’s not a result of his DF but something else entirely. Which is utter headcanon and goes against what is shown in the manga.

@@Mephisto579 Imagine thinking “whoever the writer wants to win” means they’ll disregard a story’s integrity and internal consistency just because they can. You don’t know how writing a good story or a comic works if you think power scaling gets disregarded. Especially with storylines where characters fighting each other is a central point of conflict.

@surfbone And yet powerscaling and feats have never won any fights. I could list off so many different books, comics, movies and even folk stories where the all powerful villain is defeated by a nobody. The literal story of David and Goliath in the Bible itself is a prime example.

@@Mephisto579 The problem right here in your message is you’re admitting to misrepresenting power scaling. It’s not just A > B > C BS, it’s extrapolating the narrative to determine based on what occurred to determine the strength of characters. So for instance, while David beating Goliath would count as a “feat” we know via context of the story WHY he won that fight and it wasn’t he hit him really hard. So if someone tried to say David is X strong because he beat Goliath, then they’re wrong. That’s what we do all the time and that’s what power scaling is. It’s a narrative tool we use to better understand the powers and abilities of a character by analyzing the story. It’s not rocket science
