Thanks for posting this! I was in Singapore in 2005, but none of what you showed in the Gardens was there at that time. And yes, the humidity was crazy, you're just 1 degree north of the equator! I remember the hawker centers had fantastic food. I remember going to see the Fullerton Hotel on the boat quay near downtown and we went into the lobby to look around and that's when we learned that because the hotel is a historic site, if we asked for a tour, the hotel was obligated to give us one, so they took us up to a luxurious room so we could see the city view from a balcony! There used to be lots of fantastic shopping on Orchard Road. We went to a few clubs too. Interesting that the gay clubs kept changing locations, only a few would stay open for more than a year or two, most would move. But they were always packed and the music was outstanding! Ministry of Sound used to have a club in Singapore, but I think it long ago closed. Enjoy!

I recently flew business class for the first time also when I went to Vietnam in March. I'm 65, so good for you to fly business class at your age! For long international flights, it's the only way to go if you can afford it. I also got very lucky and on two of the four legs of my flights (2 there, 2 back) I got bumped to first class. So cool to witness your excitement. Enjoy your travels!

You'll have a fabulous trip! I've been to Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand before, and just this past March I was in Vietnam. I swear Vietnam was wonderful, it's a fantastic country and the people are really friendly. Dealing with traffic as a pedestrian will be a shock, though. LOL. Don't know where you're going in VN but Hoi An is fantastic, very chill town close to a fantastic beach. Skip wearing the overtly American shirts. Your shorts are really nice. Also, phone e-cards are really cheap in VN you can get set up in the airport when you arrive. It's been years since I've been to Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. Never been to Laos or Cambodia. Have a great time!

You're not the only one who has trouble opening those record boxes with the perforated strip. They never open they way they're supposed to for me, so yeah, I just rip them apart. I love that Encore color variant! That is a very pretty album. Totally agree those PVC sleeves are terrible.

Girlfriend purchased TTPD manuscript phamon clear pressing and is getting the bolter pressing and the black dog pressing, and has the black dog cd and bolter cd and Albatross cd and getting the Albatross pressing very nice set

I can see you are young enough to be my kid! The thing that your generation is hung up on is how to protect & store vinyl records! You do NOT have to change the inner sleeve! I have records that are 60 plus years old still in their original inner sleeves! They play great! Also, DO NOT STORE THE RECORD ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE JACKET! You are putting the records themselves at a more valuable position of getting DAMAGED or even warped! You also need sleeves that allow for air flow! You do not want to get them in a sealed state where they can sweat since the original seal has been broken! As for the collection itself, it’s exactly what you get with your generation! The same ole ones that will depreciate as time goes on! You have less than 1% that will be mentioned in 10 years time! You have to realize that this modern stuff is not memorable like the older stuff is! Swift will be forgotten & never have the legacy as say the Stones or Zeppelin has! Fact is, real music lives forever, (classical for example) while fake music fades fast, (Backstreet Boys for example)!

I subbed your channel a bit ago, enjoy watching for your enthusiasm despite our musical interests (so far) haven't intersected. I also want to support our community. While not a TS fan, I nonetheless recognize the immense and positive influence she's had on record sales (particularly on RSD), vinyl awareness, and the great things she does with the platform she now has. I haven't read anything to support this (yet) but I believe that TS has surpassed event BTS as the biggest music act in the world in terms of audience size and record sales. BTW, when it comes to hype stickers - if I can peel them off the shrink, I will and then stick them on the outer protective sleeve I put the record in. I almost always remove the shrink and toss it; over time it discolors and continues to shrink, potentially damaging and bending the jacket. If I can't peel the hype sticker, I trim around it and then tape it to the outer poly sleeve I slip the cover and record into. Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm on YT!
