One of my favorite guitar riffs and solos of all times. This solo by Larry is the heart of this song.

There are a golden few bands I have bought every Album immediately on release, Steely Dan is one. The period from Katy Lied to Gaucho has literally made my whole life worth living, seriously, that was enough.

Kid Charlemagne. Remember rocking and dancing with a new girl I met with this song and we went to a Miami Beach outdoor club. We got married a little bit after and still together after 35 years! Larry and Steely Dan are just great!👍

Kid Charlemagne from is one the greatest guitars solos. So very difficult to play. Outstanding to play it that well after 45 years. Larry is one of the greats for sure!👍

Thank you for filming, and thank you for posting! I was there with my daughter - we were in front of Bruce against the rail (he gave her his harmonica after The Promised Land!), and while we of course knew going in that it would be a fantastic show, this unexpected opener blew my mind and blew the roof off of the arena, and really set the tone for the rest of the night. Open All Night is one of my favorite songs, and after seeing many many E Street Band shows, this was my first time seeing them play it, and they did not disappoint. HEY HO ROCK N ROLL DELIVER ME FROM NOWHERE!
