I wonder what this pretty city looked like over one hundred years ago when my grandfather left for America?
It is not too hard to imagine as the majority of the buildings from that time period is still proudly standing, mostly around the old port. :)

@@nordicpointNorthern Norway has 24 hours of sun in the summertime. In the wintertime there is no sun (But a crazy amount of northern lights). Otherwise the amount of sun in southern Norway is rather similar as England etc. Bergen has a special location by the sea, surrounded by mountains. It is the city with the most rain in Europe. But it's mostly soft rain (like in this video). In the summer it rarely rains heavily. Just mildly. Of course there are also longer periods of sunny weather. The moist makes it very lush and green. The air is fresh and the temperature mild.
