I've learned that besides roofs and windows, insurance companies are requesting a 4-point inspection and are paying special attention to corosion on shutoff valves, and hot water heaters. One inspector let me know that cleaning up the corrosion was not sufficient as the inside of the fitting is also compromised. So replacing the shutoff valve becomes necessary. It would be helpful to know any other specific issues that insurance companies are looking for so they may be handled in advance of the listing.
