Let's try and figure out where you got stuck. Are playing a minor chord with a keyboard or from a sequencer? Emin = E G B. Did you set the filter balance all the way to the Filter which is set to BP?

another youtuber has done a great virus video, using a software version, runs thru all the settings... martin sturtzer, should be easy to find

Agreed! Martin is an amazing synth guy. He uses the software gui which controls the virus hardware and vice versa. Considering it's 10+ years old they were way ahead of everybody else. Controll surfaces for hardware are slowly find their ways into modern instruments.

I think the digitakt is the better choice in some regards for dub techno. Miss the grittyness of samples a lot when I am just with the Syntakt.
